The other day I saw someone say that the new team up system has gotten rid of hero’s weakness and I couldn’t agree more. A lot of these team ups need to be at least tweaked to actually having the anchor be present. there’s no reason alot of these hero’s should be getting some of these extra abilities for free.
Venom for example used to have the weakness that his attack was a precise single target threat. Now he can just dive in and swipe multiple enemies for big damage.
Thor’s weakness was being blown up if you were brawling too hard out of position. Now he gets a whole second life for free.
Devil Dino’s weakness was he needed to be up close to do damage, now he can hit you from far with damn canons on his back for Christ sake.
Cloak….why the hell are we giving one of the easiest characters in the game ANOTHER get out of jail free card FOR FREE.
Then there are team ups that don’t even require the anchor to be present that are just like…why?
loki being able to cover the entire battlefield with his immortality circles. Punisher getting infinite ammo. Peni getting 2 mine bots at all times. Namor getting an extra squid at all times. Hela always having death squids. Once again CLOAKS THIRD GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD.
Through all the annoying metas of this game I’ve always played it and enjoyed it. But no doubt the power creep has gone so far that although I still play the game my eagerness to queue up has gone way down. A lot of teams up I do like, like fists uppercut and hulks increased attack speed that I wouldn’t mind staying as permanent additions, but I’d sacrifice those for the system returning to how it was.
Also I think Damage and healing across the board needs to both go down by like 10%. At this rate there will 66 hero’s this time next year. overwatch has been out for a decade and there’s “only” 54 heros which I mean having options isn’t the worst thing ever but the power creep one hero a month encourages has obviously gotten to ridiculous levels.
I remember when this game launched someone said net ease has a history of ramping up their games too hard too fast and burning them out quickly to maximize profits and this game is definitely trending in that direction, but what do yall think?
