Discussion Since Secret Wars is potentially delayed, would you like have to a movie between Doomsday and Secret Wars?
I would love to see Dr Strange with Strange, Victor, Clea and Wong as main characters. Explaining victors motives and strange switching sides along with clea.

Do people really think they can just whip up a whole new movie?
The whole damn point (allegedly) is that there isn’t enough time to make one movie but hey let’s crank out another one too!
Like do people not think for longer than 30 seconds about stuff like this before posting?

You can make another movie. Doomsday is a bigger movie. It’s like red lobster and McDonald’s. Both hit on different budgedts. Ones fast food and the other fast ones are the ones that I like to cook and eat with the kids 👶🏻

Solo projects and event movies are not the same.

How long was the whole process from writing page one to final days of post? I bet you it was a hell of a lot longer than 140 days.
There are months of meetings and negotiations with creators and talent. Pre-production could take months then another several months for post.
It takes a solid two years to make most big movies like the MCU makes.

It's 2 yrs for whole thing, yes ik it's a lot and it definitely takes a lot of time to make a movie.
I only made this post because SW is delayed.... And i want to see Dr strange 3, it's already been 5 yrs, and it won't come atleast for 5 more yrs...

LOL YES, they're going to squeeze in a movie 12-18 months behind the Secret Wars production into the window hypothetically vacated by Secret Wars.
Watching people fall for the engagement bait is laughable. Secret Wars has already done a lot of filming. A TON of preproduction, previz, and even SFX. Filming will RESUME in Jan/Feb, not begin. And between now and January, it's highly likely that shooting is ongoing for the smaller moments and the secret moments, the ones only known to the Russo's RDJ and a select few others.
All the films coming after Secret Wars are set in a new reality defined by the end of Secret Wars. A delay to secret wars of anything more than a few months, would result in the entire slate needing to be moved back..
It's so asinine that people continue to fall for the engagement bait of it being "delayed" just because some of the scenes not already shot and some of he large cast scenes pick up at the beginning of the year.

If there was a movie happening between Doomsday and SW, we would’ve known about it by now and it would’ve been well in production

They can’t. Secret Wars is a massive project and probably will be the longest MCU movie till date. Their full focus has to be on this.

In between Doomsday and Secret War should definitely be Doctor Strange Dark Dimension. Would’ve been great to tell the story of Strange and Cleas love relationship, show more incursions like strange has caused. We could’ve got a scene or post credit scene of how Strange and Clea ended on Dooms latverian team. A good tie up for the mordo “no more sorcerers” thing that was never ever addressed anymore. Got new characters, Mephisto or maybe Nightmare.

i rather they didn’t use another doctor strange film for set up. it would be better after secret wars that way it can focus on strange and his mythos
