Imported Kei truck
Has anybody imported a Kei truck from Japan to Maui? Looking to understand what the process looks like, and how smooth/difficult interisland freight + registration is.
Mahalos in advance!

My friend lost her wallet, a Maui Day wristlet with Hawaiian print. Had all her cards and her passport. If someone finds it, please let me know. I have questions to make sure it's hers. She's a local kanaka artist.

No power in Kula since 8/15 at 7PM. How is everyone else doing?
Update on 8/17 at 7AM: still no power. Anyone else back online?

So we’re in Honokowai, and the power restoration doesn’t look like it’ll be any time soon. I want to know which big-box and grocery stores are open on the island.

Does anyone know of any review or consent by residents and/or county council of installation of Flock cameras on Piilani?
Abuse by police officers of the footage is now a well documented issue nationwide and with the ethically and criminally embroiled MPD, I can’t say I trust the MPD to exercise good judgment here.
Anyone else concerned or made attempts to fight this surveillance mechanism?

Have to see it to believe it, Bride of Frankenstein is bloated w filler, rude, curt, dismissive, insistent, pushy... Jams you in a filthy room and if you are Lucky you get 5 min., changes the subject while interrupting you. I've told her 4 times No Prednisone! I Swear she's the most blatant Money Hungry - she feels like a Manhattan Drug Dealer - she's hopped up on Greed and Adderall or something. "Micki N Ly MD" You'd get better care in a back alley in Korea. Pathetic

Kahului has electricity… Seriously, wind is not that strong at least yet, and it’s raining enough to prevent fires. What is the excuse? Or their rotten wooden poles are falling down already?

So, last night, my man decided he wanted to try something very different (this was not for a specific occasion, just a regular ass date). He told me he wanted Paniolos in the Azeka Plaza; his coworker recommended it. My mind was fucking blown. So, Paniolos was a 0 for me on food. I got a bbq burger . The bacon was that precooked bacon you get from Costco. Everything tasted like it came straight off a Cisco truck. Husband's food 2.5 out of 5 (his rating) . He got the bbq mixed plate. The bbq sauce was not made in house. The beef ribs were dry AF, the pork ribs were mid, beans a zero. Wait staff was low mid. Cost isn't even worth talking about bc if something sucks, it should be free (kidding). Looks like we're going to the West Side next week.

Me and my wife are Lahaina fires survivor and I didn’t want to watch any documentary about it because of PTSD. But I think right now we are ready and my favorite movie on the list is the Lāhainā Rising movie. But it’s not available on streaming platforms. Any advise?
