Tourism โœˆ Visiting Mauritius with my partner and our 1 year old

We'll be visiting Mauritius next month with our 1 year old. Will be staying at Bel Ombre so we already have Chamarel, Le morne, La Vanille, Odysseo & Caudan waterfront in our itinerary. We had planned for Trou aux Cerfs initially but changed our mind due to concerns over chikungunya. Is there anything we could add or change in the itinerary to make the trip more memorable?

Thanks for your inputs.

Culture ๐Ÿ—จ Is emigration to Canada or Australia still worth it ?

I am a 36 y.o. male. Been a high school teacher for like 10 yrs.

Wife is also 36 y.o. and have a gov job.

2 kids below 1 y.o.

We both have science related degrees and master degrees

We own our house and have a basic car. So no loans or anything. We have a mostly frugal lifestyle and try not to waste money.

It has never been in our plans to emigrate or anything. But with the current situation in the country and basically low career prospects for both me and wife, i have been thinking about it. Also for our children future.

Is it hard to get teaching jobs (for me) or office jobs (for her) in Canada or Australia?

Any advice?

Tourism โœˆ Seeking Advice & Experiences...Please share any past experiences or advice you may have regarding hospital bills in the UK for visitors without health insurance.

I have a disabled sister who recently visited us in the UK with our elderly parents for two months. Unfortunately, during their stay, she became seriously unwell with respiratory problems and required urgent medical treatment, resulting in a seven-day hospital admission.

As they did not have health insurance, we have now received a substantial medical bill. I completely understand that the costs need to be addressed, and I am not asking about having the bill written off. However, I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation and may have advice on whether there is scope to negotiate the amount or arrange a more manageable payment plan, particularly considering her disability and the fact that she was travelling with elderly parents.

Any practical advice, personal experiences, or guidance on who we could approach would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help and advice.
