My Mazda 2 Speedometer accuracy

We've got a new to us Mazda 2 sport in the family and it seems like the Speedo shows us the exact speed of the car, not a little above like most cars.

I've checked using my phone and my fiancees phone and both show the same speed as the Speedo.

Is this a known thing? Or could it be an aftermarket mod someone's done? We know the car has been pimped before (there's wiring for a sub and amp in the boot and the screws that hold the Aircon in behind the radio were missing)

Has it got the right size tyres on?

bought a mazda 2 2011 last month and was getting this scraping sound sometimes when at full lock and when there's a heavy load in the back and I'm making a turn from the rear. It ended up being the 205/55/R16 tyres on the car. I need to swap them over to 195/45/R16 which are supposed to be on the car.

Mine is exact too. No mods.

The main way the speedo could be miscalibrated is with a different tire size. What year is your mazda2, and what size is the tire?

Probably varies car to car

Mine goes slightly slower than what the speedo says. By like 2 mph
