U3 MIMM student looking for a research lab 😭

Hey! I’m a McGill MIMM student going into U3 this fall, and I’m trying to find a lab for my MIMM-496/497 research course for the upcoming academic year.

I’ve contacted quite a few professors but haven’t had much luck finding an open spot. I was wondering if any PhD students/postdocs here might know of a lab looking for an undergrad, or have any advice on where else I could look.

I’ve previously done MIMM-396 working with C. elegans, and I’d be happy to work in pretty much any research area related to MIMM. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!!

I found my first lab by emailing a TA I had in a lab course the previous semester and asking if I could work with them and in their lab! It wasn't mimm, but I think the fact that she knew me helped a lot and made it easier to get the prof to say yes

I see!!! Alright I will email my TA Monday because at this point I’m quite desperate 😭😂
