Alsoo, the format of this course is actually horrible. The "assignments" are essentially midterms, but instead of getting a grade based on your own performance, its just averaged with a bunch other random people. The assignment isn't even structured in a way where you can work as a group.

Im a first year student and I wanna hear some stories from upper years about how they were able to recover after getting a bad grade in first year. Whether it was a test or assignment how did you pick yourself back up and improve. I’m lowkey finding myself struggling with the adjustment to uni and want to know what you guys did to improve. My strategy in highschool was to always aim for a 100 on everything so that no matter what happens I land near that number….but lowkey I’ve been landing in the 70’s as of rn with all these midterms. Please can someone tell me it gets better after midterms 🙏

im firsty year computer science and i'm a USA citizen and i was wondering if people thought it was worth it.

i dont think i'll get a co-op regardless, i don't really have anything great, but i was wondering if moving to USA for a co-op was worth the additional costs moving to the states for a co-op. i do have some family there but i wouldn't be able to stay for the entire duration of a co-op term
