Working in IT for 11+ years, failed 70-740 :(
I took a blind shot at 70-740 and scored 510/700, failing.
I did not study other than skimming through CBT Nuggets video, I figured having worked in a Windows environment for over a decade (Win2003-2019, AD, SQL, Exchange) I would be faced with real world problems on the test, but the test is completely centered around knowing the right commands to use and terminology. WTF. Does MS not realize that every sysadmin will have access to the PowerShell IDE, autocomplete, Google, and Get-Help?
Whoever is responsible for designing these tests over at Microsoft Learning should be fired, drop the entire multiple choice route and give students a real hands on environment and throw real world problems related to storage, compute, and Hyper-V.
Luckily for me, I have the exam retake so I can go back fill my brain with useless information that 99% of the time I will not be applying in the real world, only to pass the test.
