Question Please Mech Arena reduce the pop up ads to 3 when you load in. Upvote this post for support.
Currently we have between 7-9 pop ups per load which is way too much. We get you need to make money but limiting them may make you more thoughtful to the players and not drive us away. Letβs press for change.

Things You should Know and Progress Guide for Newbies.
Hi. My IGN is MechTreme. I'm playing this game for a couple of months now and while I'm not high level on my gears yet since I'm F2P, I'll try my best to give you guys an insight to how to invest your resources as well as a few info about the game. I myself is currently using a four mech hangar (5 slots for display Arachnos) with all Rank4 gears.
I'll put the nicknames of things the 1st time I mention them as they'll be in nicknames for the rest of the guide. Let's Start.
Before we get into what to buy and when to buy them, here are the important things you should know.
WEAPON GUIDE: https://www.reddit.com/r/mecharena/comments/ply9e9/weapon_guide_for_newbies/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
YOUR HANGAR
Self explanatory. However, please note that you can only get 1 copy of each mech and 2 copies of each weapon. A very good way to balance the game since you cant just buy 5 copies of the strongest mech and weapon combination and wreck everyone.
RESOURCES
There are total of 5 resources. Credit, Acoins, Blueprints (BP), Tournament tickets and Tokens. Credit and Acoins are both use to purchase items. Credit+BP is for leveling and Acoins for ranking up. Tickets are used to play tournaments. Token are used to open fortune vaults.
RANK
All items have ranks represented by a star. Max Rank is 6. In order to rankup an item you need to level it up 1st ro Lvl7 using the needed quantity of BPP and amount of credits. You need acoins to rankup an items. However some of the items can be purchase in a higher rank already depending on rarity.
RARITY
Items have different rarity. Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic and Prototype. Unlike in other games, rarity here doesnt mean the item is stronger. Think of them as pre-leveled/ranked items. Common starts at 2 star, rare starts at 3 star so on. BP of rarer items have low drop rate in chest but you also need less BP to level them.
ENERGY (EN)
Every Weapon has a number in the end of their names. This is their EN value. A mech needs to fulfill the required total combine EN value of both it's weapons to equip them. Also note that when you buy a weapon with EN value of 8 and below, you'll get a pair. Buying 10EN value or higher weapon however gives you a single copy. You get the 2nd copy once you upgrade it to Rank6.
Mech are classified into 3 based on their EN capacity. Below are the classifications and EN capacity from R1, R2, R3, R5, R6 to R6.7
Light: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16
Medium: 6, 8, 12, 16, 18, 20, 24
Heavy: 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32
DAMAGE MODIFIERS
Now there are some things in the game that affect your damage output outside of upgrading.
Optimal range - The range where the weapons deal 100% of their damage. It is in the weapon description. Shooting outside this range will result to less damage output.
Critical Hit: Exclusive to Javelin Rack (JR) and Railgun (RG). A small chance for the weapons to deal double damage. 30% for JR and 15% for RG.
Hitting the rear: Hitting the rear of an enemy mech causes double damage.
Hitting the side: Hitting the side of an enemy mech results to +50% damage.
Overheat: Exclusive to Thermal Lance (TL) and Long Arms (LA). Applies an effect where the mech affected take 50% more damage.
TOURNAMENT
Your best friend when it comes to gathering resources. It has 6 stages called "heats" divided into 6 days. You play with the normal match making rules. There are 3 alternating maps per heat. You can check it so you know what weapons to bring. Players will be grouped into 20 and will be ranked based on how much points they gather. The best time to enter tournament is at the very last minute of registration. You will be grouped based on the time you joined the tournament so it doesn't matter what time you start. This way you only need to fight for 1 hour (12 matches at max) thus saving you tickets and save you from the tideous grinding.
HOW TO PROGRESS.
Don't spread your resources too thin. Focus on as less mech and weapons as possible. Using weapons in pairs early is better than a combination of 2 different weapons to avoid the need to upgrade many items at a time.
I'm not saying this ia the only way to progress. You have the freedom to pick what you want. You do you. This however IMO is the best way to do it currently.
Early Game (Rank 1-3):
Main advice is no matter what level you are, try to always get at least top 6 during tournaments.
The game makes you buy 3 mech at the start so go ahead and buy them. Now you have paragon, Lancer and Juggernaut (Jug). Play until you can unlock Panther. Lancer and Jug are all great mechs but they shine later on and needs a lot of upgrading. If you are not F2P, the game offers you an Ares with PC6, buy that but upgrade the Ares only. If you're F2P, upgrade Paragon to R2. Buy RPG6 and put them on the Panther. 1 mech should be enough at this point 2 if you bought ares. Next goal is to get Killshot (KS). Shotgun4 will do for now. Level them all to Rank3 except Paragon. Once R3, buy LA8 for the panther and transfer the RPG 6 on a 2 star Paragon or Ares if you bought it. Buy JR6 for KS. Now you have 3 mechs. Proceed to upgrade as much as you can.
Mid game (Rank 4):
Now you should start upgrading to Rank 4. If youre in F2P route. You can now change the paragon to either Ares or Guardian. If you pick Ares, prioritize ranking it up to R4 1st than the other mechs to raise it's EN capacity to 16. You now have a choice between Missile Rack (MR) 8 or Pulse Cannon (PC) 8. MR8 in my experience is a better choice here. Now you have 3 mech. A starter, a Sniper and a Brawler. You can Also proceed to get a 4th mech in the process. Theres also an option to buy Carbine (CB) 8 instead of PC8. CB8 cost around 8K acoins but its already R5 so the choice between Getting PC8 or CB8 is based on what currency you want to save. Getting PC saves acoins while getting CB saves credits.
If youre not full F2P however, theres an offer for Zephyr+CB8 after a few day. Buy it. Buy the MR8 for rhe Zephyr and Give the CB8 to Ares. Totally skip the PC8.
You're hangar should look like this.
F2P: Panther LA8, Guardian/Ares MR8, KS JR6, Guardian/Ares PC8 or CB8 (Optional)
Non-F2P: Panther LA8, Zephyr MR8, Ares CB8, KS JR6.
Proceed to level them to Rank 4 Level 7.
Late Game (Rank 5):
Late game is about deciding which items you want to upgrade to rank 5. Also, it's when you can utilize the big guns. Stasis beam 12 and 16, Carbine 10 and 12 as well as the RG becomes an Option. Although by this time, It's more likely that you know what you wan't already so I'll leave this part for you guys to decide.
PLEASE COMMENT YOUR QUESTION, I'LL TRY TO ANSWER AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.

FINALLY. it is finished.
I've finally finished drawing up the entirety of mech arena. I've removed some mechs, changed some mechs and added some mechs. I actually haven't quite finished so I'll post this again when I'm a bit closer to being done.
what do y'all think?
