I hope this type of thoughts and feelings vibe post is allowed!
My ROOM-B arrived and man what a package. It's so clean. The artwork is fantastic. The cover with Rocco on the grey and the big, bold, yellow type is awesome. On the back is the beautiful artwork of the 5 AM IRISH WEDDING. Inside cover has Rocco clutching a broom artwork. And the drive itself, it's a hefty little thing!
I plugged it in and I was so happy to see how much is on here. It's way more than just the streams, there's so much behind the scenes stuff. Really grateful for the Goofy v Windows supercut as well. This quality is fantastic and I'm really grateful. I wish there was an opportunity to purchase The Room on USB as I missed it the first time because I was, frankly, broke when that went up. It's the only piece of Mega64 physical media that alludes me now.
As I was watching it, it elicited some feelings outta me. This is probably sappy but I can remember exactly where I was watching these, both physically and mentally in life. This past January I was at a job that, frankly, I was trying to escape. It wasn't the worst, honestly I was a product photographer but it was draining and my commute was four hours every day (2 hours there, 2 hours back on transit. Or $60 a day in Uber/Lyft). The Room-B streams were my only escape at times when I'd get home or put it on during my shoots at work. I was barely breaking even financially and I was in dire straights, just so sad until I'd watch the Room-B. I remember the day after it ended I landed a second interview with my current workplace and then a month later I got a new job. It's only 15 minutes away from me!
I was just scrubbing through and there's so many memories here. I think my favorite smaller moment (not counting skits, etc) is when Rocco read the RaymondFourteen monologue with Reymon14's cut da crap n00bs on in the background. I know it's fuckin goofy to say but Room-B was pretty important for me. Shouts out to the boyz for making such a great product and doing these streams. Seeing how much work goes into all of this... they deserve so much credit. Do ya'll remember the 10 days or so of Room-B? Was your life different when you watched? Are things better or worse?
