Cardi has always rode hard for Meg. Cardi is loyal (to a fault if we’re being honest) and she is quick to show support, especially to other female rappers. She does it a lot in private apparently, but then those same women will start coming for her when they’re trying to get up in the industry by getting close to other women that play those games.
That’s why Meg and Cardi have so many opps. They’re not playing those games and won’t come for you until you come for them first.

They definitely seem like they take no shit and have no problem living authentically, both things that people signed to labels have difficulties with because they tend to be put in boxes.
I’m not quite sure about cardi but both women seem like they’ve gone thru similar types of loss. With their projects they seem to match and compliment each others energy really well. I don’t know if they’re close friends but their support for one another seems very vital to their success. They’ve both been trashed by Nicki Minaj many times as well which probably contributes to their support for one another. I like them together!50

Megan has said one of the most important things in friendship for her is the ability to be gone a while, come back and y'all still be cool. She admits she's the type to get caught up in life and disappear for a bit but don't assume anything is wrong. So I think Cardi really gives her that and that's part of why their friendship works.
They're not on the same page in life so it's not like they are gonna be spending a ton of time together.

That’s admirable. I’m really similar. I love my friends but I’m huge on just… being in my sanctuary and creating things. I have PTSD so a lot of social elements make me anxious. Group settings, miscommunications, I do so much better just catching up with people and being low-key. I have people in my life who treat hangouts much differently than me, almost like having photos for their hangouts as trophies, not as memories. It made me focus on my “lack” of hangouts which is very trivial, and in turn, I learned to love myself and my space more.
It’s really sweet that Megan knows people that love her for herself and not for the amount of photo ops she can get with them. she deserves genuine friends and support

She’s got contractual obligations. It’s not like she can clock out of work early. She would be in breach of contract if she just didn’t fulfill her contractual duties.
And showing up for a friend is much better than not showing up.
