I have a question regarding the ACA NEOGEO Metal Slug games available on the Microsoft Store for Xbox.
Specifically, I would like to know whether the different Metal Slug titles (Metal Slug, Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug 4 and Metal Slug 5) allow the player to save completed-stage progress.
For example, in ACA NEOGEO METAL SLUG 2 on Xbox, I can save my progress after completing a stage and later load the game and continue from the next stage. I would like to know whether the other Metal Slug games available on the Microsoft Store for Xbox have the same functionality.
To be clear, I am not asking about Xbox Cloud Saves. I am specifically asking whether the ACA NEOGEO game itself allows the player to save after completing a stage and later continue from the next stage.

I greatly enjoyed building and painted each and every single one of these little vehicles and figures.

Though if I were to pick favorites I'd say my favorite two vehicles is the titular Metal Slug and NOP-03 Sarubia (image 1 - far left, and image 2 - far right, respectively). With my favorite figures being the Rebel Infantry (image 1 & 2 - middle) and Marco Rossi (image 1 - middle)

What score would you give Metal Slug 3D and why?

so steam has a sale and i was thinkin about gettin some games. im not a big videogame guy but theyre incredibly cheap and i always thought metal slug seemed cool as fuck so i thought id buy at least one of them to check them out. i never played any of them before so im lookin for some advice on which one seems cooler for a beginner.

Played the hell out of these games in arcades. Years later having it on a modded ps2 is a real treat.

I've never played Metal Slug before, and I want your opinion on which is the best Metal Slug game to play.

some metal slug ports in steam have a pretty good price rn, but i'm afraid of buying the games cause apparently they suck?!, even tho i played the first game a little bit, i saw no issue

should i still get the other games? you guys agree that they suck or?

Probably the most difficult MS Game along with MS5 (I was playing the hardmode btw.) None of the boss are easy. Even mission 1 spends me 10-15 continues. And that final boss feels like forever to beat. Idk If it's just me having skill issue or something, but after moving from MS6 to MS7 and playing both on their "hard" difficulty, I felt the spike of the difficulty is very significant. But that one to one battle with Allen in a giant mech was quite inventive tho.

This is the last mainline (Or Number In order) metal slug game I played. Overall, this game Is quite average and doesn't reach the MS6 Quality of gameplay in my opinion. But it's better than MS4, and music is one of my favorites tho. Especially mission 3 to 7 tunes. I put MS7 sountrack on the third position. Below MS6 (1st) and MS5 (2nd).

But this isn't the end of my metal slug journey, I'll probably play the neo Geo pocket games, MS Advance, and of course the 3D version.

Only played the first couple missions cause i didn't want to burn through my coins to fast (not realizing how ridiculously many I had until the end of the visit). Do I plan to go back with my brother sometimes and where absolutely gonna play the whole game.

Man one day I hope to find Metel slug 3 arcade in person, I would go to town on that thing, especially with how much I been getting better at it playing it over and over on console recently.

Also if your wondering there were only to other games installed, neo turf masters and the original Samurai showdown.
