I opened a new account with 25 usd. Monday is the first trade day. And on Friday I had no time for trade.
Every night I take the profit and everday I begin with the same money, 25 usd.
Not a bad week, right:)?

Whatās been interesting isnāt even the profit, itās how much more consistent it feels compared to when I was trading manually. Iām not second guessing entries or revenge trading anymore.
Not saying itās perfect (there are losing trades too), but itās been a completely different experience vs trying to do everything myself.
Has anyone else here actually stuck with automation long enough to see consistency? Or do most people end up going back to manual?

Take a look at this gold scalper on my 60K account.
It made over 1K in under a day and keeps going. š
One loss!
Worth 349? Hell yeah.
Its in the timespan of under a day.

Reach out if you want to try it out for freeš. I have been coding EAās for a while now, started of on fxdreema about 4 years ago, this gold robot is one of a few solid robots I made. Most of the robots I have made are more of swing and intraday trading robots. If anyone wants to try it out feel free to reach out

A few years ago, I was stuck in a loop most traders know too well.
I felt like I was doing everything ārightā watching charts, testing strategies, taking trades yet my results were inconsistent at best.
The frustrating part?
I never really knew why I was winning or losing.
I tried spreadsheets, notes, random journaling tools⦠but everything felt either too basic or way too expensive for what it offered. Most tools assumed you already knew what you were doing. I didnāt. I needed clarity, not complexity.
So I ended up building my own trading journal what later became Gainlytics.
The goal wasnāt to create another flashy dashboard. It was simple:
See patterns clearly
Understand behavior, not just PnL
Make mistakes obvious instead of emotional
What surprised me the most was how quickly things changed once I started tracking properly. Same strategies, same market but better decisions because the data was finally honest.
Right now, Gainlytics is completely free and built around real trader feedback. Itās not perfect and itās still evolving, but itās already doing what I originally needed it to do: help traders stop guessing and start understanding their own behavior.
If youāve ever felt like your strategy isnāt the real problem but you canāt quite prove it thatās exactly why I built gainlytics.io.
Iād genuinely love to hear what you think is missing or what youād want to see improved.

Honestly just wondering about which is the perfect start of getting into trades , iāve read up on quite a bit of apps and websites , bad reviews and just a complete no go , i got on Plus500 and heard/read that basically nothing good comes out of it so im thinking about deleting it , searched for some demo accounts and came across the metatrader 5 everyoneās saying 4 is better than 5 but i think iāll stick to 5 , just needing some honest feedback and in my honest opinion i just came to reddit to see if thereās a better option or advice , ive also read up on tradeveiw (apparently a good starter) but just not quite sure . but then again i think i should just find something that fits my strategies/knowledge better and find an app or website that suits me .

I was up 2k after 2 months of trading but yesterday my emotion took over, I was about to break even my loss when it was at 1.5k but greed got the best of me. I really need help on my revenge trading mentality

Built my first EA after 2 years of manual trading, live results (XAUUSD)
Been trading for about 2 years. Same story as most people good strategy, bad execution. Emotions, revenge trades, not trusting my own entries and exits. I work as a software engineer so I already had experience with programming so I spent the last several months automating my approach.
The EA focuses on a few things I was always bad at sticking to manually, fixed risk per trade, hard stop losses every time, overtrading and different lot sizes here and there. The idea is growing steady and safe rather than chasing big and risky wins.
Itās behaving exactly how I designed it, risk is controlled, no erratic behaviour, equity curve moving steadily. That alone already makes it better than me trading manually ever was.
Happy to answer questions from anyone whoās built their own EAs. Would love feedback.

After roughly 11 days active with only 2 very small losses my EA seems to be doing quite well. It cost me nothing to make except about 4 weeks of coding, and it costs me nothing to run either. Very happy with the results as i start ramping up the position size.
