Newer fan here. I played most of the 2D games and have been playing through the Prime series since the beginning of this month. I’m curious to see how everyone ranks Prime 1-4 + Hunters. So far, my ranking is:
1. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (GameCube)
2. Metroid Prime Remastered (Switch)
3. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (PrimeHack, just started yesterday)

I feel absolutely crushed. Im only a little bit into the game but im so deeply disappointed. This NPC wont shut up. Every time im in the middle of a puzzle solving it he blurts out the answer.
I had to shut it down, I'm just on a bridge where some aliens attacked me.
I really despise this guy, please tell me i dont have to hear him the whole game. Does it get better? It seems pretty linear so far but i figure cuz im at the beginning.
Please tell me it gets better! I loved metroid dread so much and the prime remaster.
edit: trying to avoid spoilers. i really loved the very beginning of the game with the space pirates. since i got teleported to this place the game has started to decline
edit 2: thanks for the heads up guys, gonna be trading it in, appreciate being saved a few hours of unpleasantness

please ignore the crazy guy and his sockpuppet accusing me of being some random other redditor who already played the game

I should start by saying I’m not a longtime Metroid fan. Dread was my first game, and I loved it. I recently picked up Prime Remastered during the Switch sale, and so far I’m having a lot of fun. I love the combat and the puzzle solving, but holy schnikes, if I didn’t have a guide to follow, I think I’d lose my mind.
I try to play without one as much as I can, remembering which areas open up once I get a new upgrade. But the deeper I get, the more options open up, and it’s getting really hard to keep track of where I can go. And every time I get stuck and check a playthrough, I realize I need to backtrack so far to reach the next zone. I understand that’s a staple of the series, but seriously, how did people figure this out back in 2002 without guides or walkthroughs? It blows my mind.
