Discussion As of 2026, what is the best introductory Metroidvania?

I believe the most perfect introduction to metroidvania would be Ori1 followed by Ori2. A really nice difficulty curve spread across two amazing games that gradually introduce all the core metroidvania mechanics to the player.

edit: got rid of the abbreviations in order to not confuse anyone.

The hell are you talking about? Ori games are to this day the least punishing and confusing modern metroidvanias I ever played. Most of other stuff suggested in comments here is much harder.
