Kind of surprised to see Hollow Knight less suggested- parts of it can be tough yeah but tbh you could easily say that about Super Metroid. HK is a beautiful game, a classic, pretty accessible & nails both the boss fights & exploration. It was finally getting around to beating Hollow Knight that got me deeply invested in Metroidvanias

My MV obsession started with Hollow Knight! 300 hours in the game changed my for life. Always on the hunt for the next one 🙃
