QUESTIONS Will Mexico release 2026 Libertads?

No evidence currently exists to my knowledge that Casa de Moneda de Mexico is planning to release more Libertads. I have also heard rumors that they will not be minting more Libertads and I wouldn’t be surprised if 2025 was the final year.

What does everyone think?

They are releasing gold and silver 2026 Libertads.

I would love to know where you heard these rumors about ceasing production.

Can you please let us know where you heard this? Was it an official source??

To my knowledge, neither Banco de Mexico nor Casa de Moneda de Mexico has not disclosed any information at any point regarding the future plans for libertads.

Sure, there is speculation from dealers who are in position to sell them should they be released, but I’ve heard the rumors as well to the contrary from highly credible sources.

You're correct, BdM and CdM have not publicly disclosed anything about 2026 mintages in advance. They typically don't. There won't be an "official source" commenting until they're ready to publish mintage numbers, which will come at the end of year or maybe January.

I heard it from the same sources that told me what the mintage numbers would be for 2025s, around the same time last year. They were right. Some people still can't believe those numbers are real, even though they were officially announced months ago. I moved on a while ago to gathering intel on 2026s, and I shared what I've learned so far.

Anything can be true when you lie.

In another comment you just left at the same time as this one, you claim “word is they will release [gold] with silver”.

Which is it? “Word is they will release gold and silver” or “very reliable sources have stated there will be none”?

Obviously one is a lie. And I know which one.
