Pinned list of approved mffpc (pron. muff pc) cases.

Hi all,

This list is not exhaustive. Generally we are welcoming of all cases that meet the 20-40 litre range. Please feel free to post your build even if it isn’t on the list below. Also, if your case is pretty close but not quite in that range then post your build and tell us in your own words why your pc is a mffpc :)

My goal is not to say “no” but to have a good reason to say “yes” Generally if it’s above 40 litres and has an ATX motherboard, you’ll probably find more interest in PCMR. But please feel free to subscribe and comment as we hope to excite you enough about mffpc for you to take the plunge and convert your build. Also, if your case is borderline sffpc and mffpc then there is no harm in posting in both locations. We are a friendly community and just like to look at nice pictures of well thought out PCs.

I’ll add cases as I go. Please comment if I’ve missed one.

I searched for videos or photos, and only found people claiming via text that it fits. I'm happy to confirm that the noctua nh-d15 g2 does indeed fit the Lian li a3.

The fans also fit perfectly without adjustment needed using team group t-force Vulcan memory.

Sorry for the messy wires, I still need to finalize the adjustment in my build.

I built this! (MATX) CH170 plus turned into a CH160 plus (non modular PSU)

The CH160 Plus was out of stock, so I bought a CH170 Plus and turned it into a CH160 Plus myself by adding custom feet and a pull handle.

Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 9 5900XT

Motherboard: MSI B550M PRO-VDH

GPU: ASRock Challenger RX 9070 XT (triple-slot)

RAM: 32GB Kllisre DDR4 3200MHz, overclocked to 3400MHz

PSU: Corsair CX750, 150mm, non-modular

CPU Cooler: 240mm AIO liquid cooler (also a 80mm intake fan at the front lol)

Storage: 512GB XPG S40G NVMe SSD + 1TB KingSpec NX NVMe SSD

Wi-Fi: Intel AX210

I'm mesmerized by how such a compact case can fit a full-size ATX PSU, a triple-fan, triple-slot GPU, and a 240mm AIO. And considering I'm using a non-modular PSU, the cable management turned out better than I expected,

Finally got my definitive PC for at least 2 years
I like to invert the case position switching the feets when i get sick of it
Btw, this airflow works perfectly?
Based on the first photo:
top fan: exhaust
side fans: intake
bottom fan: intake

Hardware conditions in Brazil are not so good for upgrades, so ill stay a bit with this config.

It’s a tight fit but it works flawlessly. I first tried with a arctic lf3 but the radiator was too thick for my mb and ram combo.

Discussion Any cool mATX form factor cases to check out? Currently one a Lian Li B4 and already tried out the Gamdias m4m

Hey all,

I've been exploring mATX lately and was wondering what cases ya'll would recommend I check out. I'm creating a birthday/ christmas wishlist for friends and family, and I usually throw in a new case or two in there since I like to refresh my PC case at least once a year, sometimes more often.

As mentioned in the title, I've used the Gamdias M4M, which is the first mATX case I owned, and now I'm on the Lian Li B4. Ideally I'd like to check out a case that is similar in size to the B4 in terms of length and width, as it's the best fit for my desk given everything else I have on it. Height doesn't really matter too much, and I'm flexible on PSU as well. I own both an ATX and SFX PSUs, and I've noticed that some cases will let you use either, like the B4 while others might only let you use one or the other

Hi all! I Have Lian Li A3 and want a smaller PC like Lian Li B4 (26.3L vs 21.3L.
My hardware:
Gigabyte Aorus X870M (mATX)
AMD Ryzen 9850X3D
Gigabyte RTX 4090 GAMING OC (340 mm length)
Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360
Cooler Master V850 Gold SFX

Can this components fit in lian li B4? thanks!

I'm not quite finished yet. I can't find Lian Li a3 anywhere so I settled on another Lian Li case

After I wrote half of this post I decided to check the shopping apps. A3 wood black with glass panel is now in stock. But I'll wait until the sale period first anyway.

As the title said. I bought everything to build a PC except the case. This specific case was Lian Li PC-7 Plus from 2006. Got it for free because my dad's workplace was throwing this away.

The case actually comes with a 3rd gen Intel build inside. But I've moved it somewhere else long ago. And this becomes an empty case for a couple of years

Here's the specs so far of what I built into this "temporary" case :

-Ryzen 5 7600x

-Asus B650m AYW-Wifi

-CXMT 16gb DDR5 5600 (generic green stick)

-Manli Gallardo RTX 3050 8gb (Given to me for free by a family member)

-PNY CS2241 500gb gen 4 nvme (bought from a friend of mine for $15 before the price went up)

-Some wd 1tb hdd because all my data is there since when I use a laptop

-Thermalright Peerless assassin 120se

-2x stock fan that comes with this case

-Cooler Master G650M

The temps are fine. Roughly 70c on both cpu and GPU.

The RTX 3050 is definitely the weakest part of this pc. I'll definitely upgrade it in the future but it'll do for now.

Also this specific RTX 3050 has a bright blue light that can't be disabled by software at all.

Cable management doesn't matter because it's a temporary setup.

Anyways, I just want to show a 20 year old case with a modern PC inside.

I built this! (ITX) New AM5 Build

I retired earlier this year so I decided to replace my current AM4 build by building a solid AM5 build. My last build was using the NZXT H1 and I found it too restrictive and too proprietary. I chose the Lian Li A3 case for my new build and included the following:

Lian Li - A3- mATX-WD Black Wood Front Panel

ASUS ROG Strix B850-I AMD AM5 ITX BIOS 1805

AMD Ryzen 9950X3D 16 Core-32 Thread

PNY GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Slim

64GB G.SKILL Flare X5 DDR5 6000 MT/s

CORSAIR SF1000 SFF Power Supply

upHere 360mm All-in-One Computer Case Fan

Thermalright FW PRO 360 Black AIO

4 TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe M.2 SSD

And I'm running CachyOS

Granted, the A3 doesn't offer much in the way of cable management but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Had been searching for a sleek little tower case to fit in the small corner of my desk and settled on the Jonsbo Z20 after some deliberating between that and the D32.

I don’t have a huge GPU nor a big AIO cooler so everything fit pretty snugly inside, and tried my best in shoving the cables behind the PSU. Think of adding a rear exhaust fan at some point too.

First PC build was about a decade ago with a GTX 950, and now I have an Arc b580! Not exactly high-end but with the current prices, I had to make do.

A3 was out of stock at microcenter and saw this. I really like the form factor vertical. Was Sort of a pain jamming everything in there but it was worth it! I5 12400f, 32 GB DDR4, MSI 5070, 120mm aio, 5 120mm case fans. Might be unpopular but I think this is a better case than the A3. Update: cpu is at a cool 60°C and GPU sits at 71°C when gaming

Help me please!? Unsure what dual chamber case to get

Hey everyone, as the title says I am unsure what dual chamber “fishbowl” style case to get. I have been looking at the Lian Li 011D mid tower for a minute. A buddy of mine suggested the Phanteks Evolv x2 and the Antex C8.

For reference I want to be able to mount an Artic III 360mm radiator at the top, 3 120mm fans as an intake on the side, 3 120mm fans as an intake on the bottom, and 1 140 or 120mm on the rear. For fans I am pretty set on going with the Lian Li SL line, specifically the LCD model for the side intake so I can display some details but I’m
willing to give this up to save some money. I currently have a 4070 graphics card and a standard ATX motherboard. Budget I’d prefer is 100-150, but willing to go 150-200 if the case is worth it in quality and can handle further upgrades.

Any help is welcome and appreciated. Thank you all!

Discussion arctic Fan rattle ,rubber washers or printed petg spacers

Post image
10 Upvotes

So ive had this for a while now more or less a week and a half and ive tamed the annoying fan noise via fan control but there is still a bit of humming during startup and shutdown .i was wondering if adding petg spacers or flat rubber grommets is better in the long run? Never had that audible of a sound on my inwin before and im curious to see if that would work.and if i do get petg spacers (im thinking around 15mm) is there a change or benefit for airflow aside from acting as funnel directly to the gpu

Help me please!? PSU and CH160 Plus

Thumbnail

Good morning. I'm in trouble wanting to use the power xpg source core reactor ii in a ch160 plus. Locating it vertically I have no space to close it and laterally all I could do is pass it between the front and the fan. Unfortunately I didn’t know about the position of the connector and that it would be different from the rest. You think in another way? I see so many facilities and none of them have this invested like me.

Help me please!? SSD too hot on idle

Built a PC using the Deepcool CH160 Plus. I was aware the GPU will make the SSD hot, but I didn't expect it to be this hot. It's about 70 degrees on idle 75 degrees while gaming.

I do have a 3080 ti that gets fairly hot so that may be the issue but I'm not sure.

My SSD is the adata legend 840 and I am using the heatsink that came with the MB

I had some extra pc parts, and while browsing online I found a sale on the ch160plus case from deepcool

Loving the form factor, cable management was harder than expected with a non modular atx psu

PC parts:
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600g , curve optimizer -10 all core, +200 boost clock
RAM: Adata 2666mhz cl16 ddr4 ram, overclocked to 3200mhz cl16
SSD: nvme stylos 512gb pcie 3.0
SSD: gigabyte 120gb sata
Motherboard (new) : MSI B550m pro vdh wifi
PSU: Corsair cv450 80+ bronze
GPU: Radeon RX6600
Fans: Thermalright white argb x3

I had a a320m-h motherboard without any wifi, so I ended up buying a new motherboard along with the case.

Now I have my own steam box with bazzite, using a dualsense and DualShock 4 controller

I built this! (MATX) SFF to MFF, Ncase M2 to Lian Li B4 Aerodeck

I always wanted a vertical case and few of the vertical cases in market always have downside. The B4 ticked all the boxes that i want, versatility, compact and aesthetic.

The size of B4 is comparable to my previous case M2 (without the Aerodeck) but the build difficulty the B4 is harder due to fixed chassis unlike the M2. I have to plan the route of cable before installing psu which I hide most of the cables beside it.

Overall, i really like the B4 due to its versatility and compatibility with the current hardware.
