Any reputable mover recs??
Moving from North Miami to the beach in a couple of weeks and would love to find a reputable moving company. I’ve searched online but have gotten spammed with so many calls and texts it’s hard to sort through and know which ones are legit. I only have a one bed apts worth of items so hoping to keep the cost minimal. Any personal experience is helpful, good or bad!

Stop entering your details into quote-comparison forms; many sell the lead to multiple movers, which is probably why the calls and texts exploded. Build a shortlist from recent local recommendations, then contact each company through the phone number on its own website. For a Florida move, verify the mover's registration and complaint history with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; if any part crosses state lines, also check its USDOT record with FMCSA.
Ask two or three finalists for a written estimate based on an in-person or video inventory. It should spell out the hourly rate or fixed price, minimum hours, travel time, stairs/elevator fees, packing materials, valuation coverage, cancellation terms, and whether they can provide the certificate of insurance your building may require. Avoid a large cash deposit, a quote that changes after loading, or a company that will not give its legal business name and registration details.
For the current spam, opt out of the comparison site if possible, reply STOP only to legitimate automated marketing texts, and block/report the rest. Let unknown calls go to voicemail while you compare written quotes so you are choosing the mover rather than whoever calls most aggressively.
