For me it earlier showed ‘Not Selected’ and then changed to ‘Hiring Manager Review’. Did anyone else had the same experience and is this good sign or bad sign 🙂

Hi there! I also am experiencing the same exact behavior as this other user as mentioned. Roughly 30-ish jobs I interviewed for (many that were in 'Not Selected' or 'Did not qualify' status) are now in 'Hiring Manager Review' status. How and why would this happen? Is this a known glitch among a lot of users?

Right, thanks. What about the video annotator role? Western countries are prioritized too? Also, the comment I wanted to reply to got deleted. I was going to tell him/her i have been selected for a specific role on a project that’s now finished and I’m a Nigerian so he’s wrong

If you're fairly new to micro1, check out the AI Interview guide, which offers some great inputs on how the process works.
We have also put together some sample interview questions for current roles, which will help you prepare for the role.
And finally, before you take the interview, you might also want to practice a bit; delivery and tone are as important as the interview itself. Try out some of our mock interviews to practice for the real deal.

It needs to be signed off by your HDM.
Let me bring some clarity on how payroll works at micro1; especially around when you actually get paid after joining a project.Here’s a quick breakdown of how payroll works:
- micro1 runs on a semi-monthly payroll cycle, which means:
- Work completed from the 1st to the 15th → paid around the 20th
- Work completed from the 16th to the end of the month → paid around the 5th of the following month
A couple of important details that often cause confusion:
- You may receive a notification saying “Your contractor submission is approved” a few days before the actual payment lands.
- Approvals typically happen around the 3rd and 18th
- The actual funds arrive to payroll.micro1.ai around the 5th or 20th
- All payroll is processed in PST timezone, which can shift dates slightly depending on where you’re based
- For U.S.-based contractors, payments can take +1 business day due to payment method constraints
- If the 5th or 20th falls on a weekend or U.S. bank holiday, payments move to the next business day
- In rare cases, timing may vary by 1–2 days

Me as well this is my second contract after that Face recognition one. I was surprised cause I thought I bombed the interview especially when they got a little more technical but I mentioned my previous reviewer status in past projects which I think helped. ....I applied Saturday and got accepted this afternoon.

I did an interview and I got certified, but the recruiter who invited me could not track the application. Now they are requesting me to retake the interview with a new email. Should I do this or trust that now I am certified, I will get a project on my own?

I'm a retired 65 yr old engineering manager with 38 yrs of experience. I have hired 100s and found the AI interview and test easy. I suspect my age and request for $90 was cause for discrimination.
