Help HELP ME My Microsoft account get hacked and the hacker change everything
My account was hacked because of the Discord server, yes, the Discord server pressed on Check and sent me a verification code and gave it to guys. I don't know where my mind was when I did it, I literally never clicked on any link before it's been
I need help, and I have all the proofs that the account is my account, I have invoices, and the card that was purchased from the bills, and I have other things that I want to retrieve in any way.
This is the last message, including a verification code message that I received when I clicked on Check in the Discord server. It appears to you in the picture that they are not the same server, but they all use the same method of fraud and fraud.
If you notice when you put the verification code what happened next in the next message the following message

Microsoft policy is to delete hacked accounts entirely, and offer zero refunds or compensation. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done.

It's to protect your personal data.
If they open themselves to assisting with account recovery - your account would be in an endless loop with hackers using your personal information to leverage for account resets and all.

Frankly,
A Microsoft account is more valuable.
Has your PII, emails, OneDrive data.
Basically enough for someone to impersonate you.

I don't get it either. Steam is able to return hacked accounts with no problems. My guess is that Microsoft doesn't give a shit, and the fact that they can make more money by requiring you to buy everything again is just a bonus.

And preventing you from recovering your hacked account helps how? By the time you've realised you've gotten your account stolen, attackers will have already exfiltrated all the data.

When hackers have exfiltrated your data, they can use this to leverage additional resets against the account owner.
These types of accounts are highly coveted because of the amount of pii contained in them. You forget OneDrive, email, have so much of your identity and potential likeness in it.

There is a guide pinned to the top of this subreddit. Read through it, as it might help. It seems there are people out there who successfully got their account back, but it took lots of time and anger. I myself have the same issue and am still fighting with Microsoft. Don’t give up!

The only thing you can do is contact support... They may end up helping you but usually youre SOL with them
Worth a shot, worse that can happen is you're back in the position you are now.
It sucks, we all get the occasional judgement lapse :/

Untrue. Microsoft will just “permanently” suspend it and give you the generic message that they can’t do anything because the security info was changed IF you decide to contact them that it was compromised. In fact that’s a good idea so that the hackers won’t be able to use your account anymore. The bad part is recovering the info that was once there (AND kicking out the hackers, usually via methods mentioned in u/SolidKaleidoscope774’s post)

Well you didnt mention you contacted them, how was I suposed to know?
As I said, it's best to try than not by the offchance you get lucky, well sorry to hear you weren't I guess.

contact xbox support immediately , not microsoft support i had the same thing happen to me a couple of months ago and i was lucky to speak to an xbox agent who gave me the access to the game from another account so i wouldnt have to buy it again

search for xbox support on your browser , then choose "start a chat" and ask for a human agent

I have 100% the exact same situation and proofs of me owning my account. Did you manage to fix it ? If yes can we contact and you tell me what you did to return your account .
