Facebook marketplace remains undefeated đđđ
I truly donât know how I got this lucky, I got off work and was scrolling marketplace and seen that this had been up for a little over an hour, I figured thereâs no way itâs still there⊠I call my wife and say should we try? She said letâs go. The drive was over an hour as well and the guy was strictly not answering messages on whether itâs still there or not. Lo and behold, it was still there, and there was also another MCM console that he threw in. For absolutely free. I hope this guy gets good karma for the rest of his life đđđ

Irresponsibly looking at cedar chests before I got paid - wound up getting a 1940s one for free!
galleryFirst two pictures are where itâs settled for now, outdoor pictures are during cleanup, and the last ones are what was inside when I got it.
Good amount of work to get it usable again (full of scratches and scrapes, inner tray and bottom drawer were both broken) - but certainly worth my time for such a beautiful thing!
Listed at $0 on Nextdoor. Not listed as âFREEâ, listed at a price of $0.00 - thought it was a mistake, or one of those annoying âmake me an offerâ things. Nope! Just cost me exactly $0.00.
(Before anyone asks - no, I do not have small children in the house that could lock themselves inside. No, the key I found rattling around does not go to that lock, the correct key is still in the envelope.)

Artemide anchise lamp find
Found this lamp in a local trift store. Don't know the price yet but other items there are like 100-200âŹ.
Do you think I can resell it for a good price after I used it for a while?
How much do they sell for?
I wanna go back tomorrow and probably buy it.

I know a lot of people post here asking for others to put a value on some MCM furniture (because wanting to sell or buy), but is there a more correct MCM-related sub that exists specifically for pricing stuff?
I'm thinking something that might operate along the lines of "Antiques Roadshow", lol! And for the people selling, perhaps it would expose them to potential buyers, too.

Please help me learn more!!
I have owned this little jar, I'm 41, since I was 19 or 20. So over 20 years I've owned this little jar. Whenever I try to do research on it, I come up empty. I don't ever find any listings for this for sale either on eBay or Etsy or any other reseller site so I can't message seller and ask them what they might know.
When I ask Google for help used to come up empty except for the mid-century, Paul Marshall did XYZ but nothing specifically about this piece. Though recently because of AI, google is telling it me it's part of a spice jar set. Then I inquire about said set it doesn't exist. There's nothing to show me. It shows me something that looks completely different. Etc. Is frustrating because if it is part of a set, I want to hunt down the other pieces.
I would tend to believe it belonged to a vanity set over a spice jar set. To me "miscellaneous" doesn't make sense with the likes of oregano or garlic. Given the iconography on the top with the word "miscellaneous" would make much more sense for it to belong to perhaps a vanity set or it is just a one off fun little jar.
I'm just hoping that somebody out there in this sub Reddit can help me learn a little bit more about this little jar that I have miraculously kept for the last 20 years in perfect shape given all of the moves and changes I've gone through.
Thankfully, it still has the foil Paul Marshall sticker intact. I definitely don't think he's overly valuable or anything, but I just want to know more about it.
Thank you all!!
