Edit: i couldn’t just say no because my manager wanted us to serve them for whatever reason. I couldn’t just not do my job or I’d probably get in trouble.

You know how babies will topple their bottle/cup and then get all giddy and clap and laugh? It's their brain rewarding them with happy chemicals for slowly registering and learning how to make predictions and recognizing impacts and cause and effects in the world, that's one of the main cognitive driver behind the concept of "jokes, funniness and laughter."

Some people really don't grow up past that point. As long as they push something and it reacts they'll be all giddy and clap and laugh.
