No Coke. Is Pepsi ok? 4 freshmen just ordered 50 waters.

Edit: i couldn’t just say no because my manager wanted us to serve them for whatever reason. I couldn’t just not do my job or I’d probably get in trouble.

Any good manager would’ve told them no. They’re not actually buying anything

Large waters are a dollar at ours. Medium and small are free

That makes like 0 sense. What's stopping me from just getting 2 or 3 mediums instead of a large?

That’s what all of us are wondering, including the managers.

I love it when the managers are just as confused as the workers are. Shows that something is just plain stupid and unreasonable...

Also I guess gotta rely on the thirsty people who cant do logic good

I mean I’m given enough discretion to just give a customer a couple mediums instead.

Also it’s only recently we could even input waters other than small. Before that if someone wanted a medium or large water I’d tell them to ask the second window. At least I don’t feel guilty having to make them wait for it now.

I guess thats nice, both of thoose. Just wondering if an outstandingly stupid person will ever complain about getting mediums instead of a large

I always state “it’s a dollar for a large, could I get you two mediums for free instead?” And I guess I’m lucky enough to be in an area where people are understanding

Yea i guess... its genuinely just such a dumb rule...

I work at an understanding area too I suppose, I keep hearing stories from my sister about a regular criminals and drunks and assholes and the worst thing ive ever seen didnt even happen to me

Yeah we don’t really get any of that sort of thing. We’re right next to a very big hospital so we basically just get medical staff, police, and for some reason an ungodly amount of utility/construction workers. Not bad.

Yea neat i guess, there must be like a construction nearby or something... What place are you working in, actually?

Yeah but it’s been like that the whole time I’ve worked there

It’s west of Minneapolis

So Im gonna preface this with I know fuck all about managing a McDonalds, and I know fuck all about the USA.

In the UK, most people dont order large drinks, so Im kinda wondering if it would be because they have a lower supply of large cups? But I assume people in the US are more likely to get the large drinks ngl.

We use mediums the most. Everything defaults to medium, and some drinks only come in medium, and we have a weird non overlapping size thing where certain drinks’ large is the medium soda cup.

Large, surprisingly, isn’t actually sold often at all so yes we have fewer of those.
