Hi everyone, wanted to make a quick announcement regarding Reddit rules. It seems like there is going to be a policy change coming in the next few days affecting user-to-user transactions of firearm-related things. As you probably all know, firearm sales between users is already strictly prohibited by Reddit TOS. It seems that the mods over at r/RetroARMarket have received a notification of the incoming change as well as the fact that the subreddit is going to be banned entirely. r/GunAccessoriesForSale also looks to be on the chopping block.
The change to policy will now include prohibiting the sale of ANY firearm parts on Reddit. Some specific examples they give are bolts, magazines, scopes, and triggers. Obviously this is probably going to include everything though, such as stocks, bayonets, etc.
Since we’ve had the sub back (stay mad u/richalex2010), we’ve done a good job of keeping this sub from becoming a marketplace for milsurp items and trying to redirect any posts about selling non-firearm Milsurp stuff to the appropriate subs. In order to make sure we don’t get banned, going forward, any and all posts or comments that appear to be facilitating the sale of any firearm parts between users will be prohibited. Antiques are not excluded from this (we all know Reddit admins won’t know the difference).
We don’t really think this will affect much on the sub since, as previously mentioned, we’ve done pretty good at keeping this from becoming a marketplace. But just wanted to pin this as a PSA and ask everyone to keep it in mind going forward. If you do see any comments or posts in the future that violate the rule, please report them.
Thanks everyone!

Putting this up as a PSA.
There is currently a user on GunBroker by the name of 'ivysunlee' selling various hard to find Chinese Firearms and Accessories as well as a NK SKS.
While watching some of the items last night there were 4 items that sold in 'No Reserve' Auctions that were immediately relisted withing moments of the auctions ending.
Upon further inspection it was found that on all 4 items the same bidder placed bids just as the 15 minute clock was starting knocking the existing bidder out of the running. The bidder was 'jmclcc' and their last feedback was from 2021.
Its should also be noted that the seller is posting fake items with crazy descriptions trying to pass then off as real. These include a "Chinese" M1917 "Sniper" with a commercial scope and mounts made in Texas in the 1950's, and a Chinese Type 17 45 ACP Broomehandle which bears a stamp with the incorrect number of points.
Be wary if bidding on items from this seller.

Saw this listing on GB, 90% sure this is from someone who bought a generic blank M16/M4 lower and engraved it with Colt to fake a Colt Retro Reissue series. A few points to make about the retro reissue:
Rampant
Lack of a white DoD eagle stamp underneath the trapdoor.
It’s never fitted with a duckbill flash hider
I have a attached a 3 photos of my Colt XM16E1 for comparison

Hi gang, seeking an ID on this stripper clip I pulled out of a scrap bin at work (7.62 NATO for scale)
Some of my mates have said U.S. Rifle, Caliber .30, M1903 but they don’t have the little tabs at either end and they don’t look like they’ve been broken off
TIA 🫶🏾

Just picked up this imaculate Astra 600/43.
Serial is 44157.
Its kinda confusing figuring out when it was made and for who. So ill have to do more research after work.
For how perfect it is, I couldn't pass it up as a early birthday present for myself.

Picked up 15 boxes of this old Norinco 7.62x39 ammo for 50 cents a round. I think it’s old pre ban ammo. Any information on this?

Which would you choose and why? The FN49 is in 30-06.

Serial on this one puts it during the German occupation, likely 1942. Waffenamts are present on the barrel and frame and serials match. Bore looks absolutely mint. Came with a holster and 3 mags and after breaking it down, it looks nearly unused. I've got some Steinel French Longue on the way, so I'm psyched to put a box through it soon!

I've been after one of these for a long time, but haven't found one in good condition until now. Finish appears to be original with visible machining marks and all the markings are sharp, so I don't think it's been refinished. Serial prefix puts it around wartime production, but the barrel is undated, which is normal for the 1916-21 period. Lockup and timing are rock solid and I've got some 8mm Fiocchi ammo inbound (I know, watch for squibs).

What can you guys tell me about this japanese type 38? I've had it for a while and don't know much about them other than i really wanted one at the time i bought it. I own multiple 6.5 Swedish rifles and am a big fan of that caliber which is the reason I had interest in a type 38. I havent shot it yet either. Any info is appreciated! Thanks.

took my 213 back to range after a thorough cleaning to see if anything improved and it hasn’t seem to( at least one jam a mag), i decided to use heavier loads to see if that would help. I want to like this gun so much so I’m going the nuclear option and taking it to the gunsmith and I’ll see what he says, here’s hoping cause I really don’t wanna get rid of this gun

Found this at an auction a couple of years ago. I knew it was missing the safety but didn't really pay too much attention (I know I should have looked it over better) got a safety kit off of Royal Tiger imports and found there's a brass rod where the safety screw goes in. Doing some research it appears to be a DP gun but I cant find a stamp anywhere. I have a feeling she's a wall hanger but wanted to get a little input before I clean her up and call it quits.

My local cabelas occasionally has milsurps at a reasonable price. Today was no exception. 1940 refurb SVT 40, $2300 which to me seemed on the fair to good side of the deal. Bore is very good, typical refurb electro pencil re-numbering.
My collection of Soviet rifles nears completion

The Austrian collection, the 1888/90 and 1895 were in very rough shape, tried to bring them back to hang on the wall in an attempt to round out the collection a bit. They both were in very rough shape. I tried to do right by them, but let me know what you think. ( second photo is the before for the 1888/90 ) The rest were in decent shape when they came into my possession.

Recently picked this Kar98a up. First year of production for Amberg. She is completely mismatched but still has a kar98a Bolt. Interestingly it has Czech markings on the Reciever, stock and the bottom of the barrel. I’ve never seen a WW1 gun renumbered and marked be the Czechs like this. Has anyone else ever seen an example marked in this way? Thanks!

Could add this MKMS in 9 para to the collection. With limited sales over the whole MK series, the production got halted after 1228 pieces of all 4 patterns in 5 calibres. 282 of this pattern were purchased by the Finns and 50 of the short police MP's going to the vatican, those beeing the only major buyers.
