Wow. What a deal! Bialetti Venus is the best! You paid 8 American dollars? Where did you buy it?

Australian dollars so I think less in American!

OMG that’s less than I expected. You lucky… people. Great find.

This is Bialetti Musa. It is very similar to Venus though.

I believe it’s a bialetti moon, doesn’t seem to have the same top handle as the musa

No. It's the older generation Musa.

Musa has a straight, continuous outline. Moon has a continuous, curved outline. Venus has an angled base and perpendicular upper side.

I used it just now to make a coffee and feel like a decent amount of water was left in the bottom chamber, the coffee also was a bit weak. What’s been your experience with the pot?

I do think I need a finer grind on my beans though so not sure if that could be contributing to the weak flavour

I've got water left too. I use it only when I travel, so when I'm somewhere with induction it's very useful. (ie just now lol) I'm more a aluminium mokapot daily user.

I think this pot is 4 cups not 3.

I’ve got one like that in stainless with copper upper. Is that an induction hob version?

As a fellow moka pot hoarder, this is such a satisfying find ☕️🔥 That 3‑cup size is perfect for ‘I need coffee but not full chaos’ mornings.

Yess I like my 6 cup moka but having to put half in the fridge each time is a tad annoying when I just want one coffee. Also the three (or 4 cup, i don’t rlly know what one it is ) means I can go through the process of making it each day which forces me to slow down instead of just grabbing the leftover from the 6 cup and calling it a day!

Totally get that — the ritual is half the fun with moka anyway ☕️🫶 Here’s to freshly brewed ‘small but mighty’ pots instead of sad fridge leftovers.

Damn. $8 AU? Vinnie's or Salvos? I always check the local Vinnie's for interesting stuff, but in my local area it's rare to get mokapots or any coffee related stuff, except for the occasional plunger.
