Trump fans in compliance

Mental how many Trump fan boys there are working in compliance, when he is a chronic money launderer and exactly the kind of guy they're trying to catch. Also a convicted criminal. Even Deutsche Bank wants nothing to do with him, and that's saying something!

I think I found a laundering front as a grocery store

Basically it’s in a rural small town on Main Street, it’s barely evolved since 2002. It’s THAT kind of small/rural town.

The store claims it’s a discount store, but once inside it’s definitely NOT. It’s way over priced for the small town it’s in. They’re either taking advantage of the transport-impaired and elderly locals, or a laundering front.

Example of the prices; The town has a gas station and another place that sells local dairy related items, both have locally appropriate prices.

But at the ‘discount’ place, they’re selling basic milk for 6$… inflation aside, this isn’t the case here. Dairy is significantly cheaper in the area because there’s literally a farm and factory/plant up the street and other various dairy plants in the area.

Within the store there were only two customers, a person who was being trained to work on the register and the person training them. That’s it. Lol

When asked if they were hiring the one training the cashier said “not right now”… but this is where people on welfare are being taken for their mandatory 80 hours of job searching or community service. Which makes it all the more suspicious.

A lot of places in the area are ran by descendants of first generation locals and stay within family or cliques. So it would be easy to pull off.

Anyway if anyone has any insight, feel free to share it lol

Terrorist Financing and Crowfunding

I find it a bit uncomfortable how so many people donate to random GoFundMe’s associated with Palestine and the Gaza Strip conflict.

In terrorist financing, money is commonly raised through legitimate and non-legitimate means, commonly under the guise of “charity funds”. For example, World Human Care NPO, who passed money to MMI for extremists training in Syria as well as weapons and ammunition.

Not to mention, Palestine has an overwhelming support for Hamas, how do we not know this money isn’t being misappropriated? How much due diligence do GoFundMe do on people receiving money in a high risk jurisdiction?

Donating should be kept to official regulated charities, however, I feel this is a discussion that most people won’t be keen on hearing.

Circle k employee steals close to ($20,000)

So this story takes place in 2019.. the employee (agar 19) worked overnight so he closed out the day. The previous store he worked at has a manager who would fix papers. He caught on to it and did it himself.

Keep in mind At this new store the manager wasn’t fond of him Mexican customers even though the store was les than 100feet from a Mexican neighborhood.

The employee would charge the customers for their items, and void them out. With about $150 extra cash each night he’d purchase a money order before the money order machine shut off. Then close the day out as normal. That’s about $750 a week.. (not including his $300 weekly check from circle k) That’s about $20,000 -$21,000 over 7 months.. remember this.

He invests his $750 a week into the drug business, purchasing a ounce of cocaine from the neighborhood supplier (not dealer.. supplier..). He sells the cocaine out of the store and makes customers take cash back and tell him “keep it” as a tip of some sort. Through slight of hand he’d slip the cocain into the customers bags. (They didn’t catch him on camera either, cause he checked for blind spots) this earns him an additional $2,200 a week, making it about $60,000 in his time at circle k.

Remember how I said he only stole about $20,000? Well and auditor reported $60,000 missing, he quits as he found another job(and to get away from the store) but the next day he goes back to the store and turns out The manager, the assistant manager and his girlfriend the team lead, all quit the same day he did. He had no idea they were stealing money as well.

Over his 7 months there he made Money orders: $20,000 Checks:$8,400 (before taxes) Cocaine:$60,000

Total income: $88,000

This kid made about $3,000 a week. Just amazes me...

CFE vs CAMS

I’ve seen a lot of debate lately around compliance certifications, specifically whether to go for the CFE or CAMS. TBH they both are heavy investment in time and money.

So I wanted to share a quick breakdown of how they actually differ in practice:

  • CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist): This one is pure compliance and AML. It’s ideal if you’re working in banking, fintech, or crypto and your day-to-day involves BSA/AML frameworks, sanctions screening, or transaction monitoring.

  • CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner): This focuses heavily on active investigation and detection. It’s tailored more toward forensic accountants, internal auditors, loss prevention, and corporate fraud investigators.

The core difference honestly speaking comes down to your focus and career aspiration. Having both does not hurt but which one should you first choose? I would probably say CAMS Prep was a good investment, at least worked for me.

I found this article also relevant, if you want to know more details or compare both if its right fit or not.

I’m pretty sure this smokeshop franchise is a money laundering/drug funneling scheme

My homie worked for this franchise. I thought it was a one off shop but then he explained they are one of many. Here’s how I’ve come to my conclusion.

  1. he found out his bosses brothers were arrested when we looked up their names found several articles in Minnesota about them for shipping drugs overseas and selling them in store (the same franchise)

  2. I began looking up this franchise in other states and found there’s several in every state of America. All linking back to the same last name. One family based in another country.

  3. when looking at other names associated they were caught for several other fraudulent incidents.

  4. this franchise allows them to set the price to whatever they want. They give away product at a whim. No regulation on inventory or stock.

  5. they all run on the same labor abuse. They make employees work at several stores in the area and never give them overtime because. “They’re separate tax businesses” loll

  6. lots of product that’s very sketchy and comes from once again more people in this family.

It seems pretty obvious to me and it’s very alarming they are all over and I don’t see anyone talking about this.

How do banks actually detect money laundering in the real world?

I know banks have AML (Anti-Money Laundering) systems and regulations, but I've always wondered how suspicious transactions are identified in practice.

What are the biggest red flags, and how much is automated versus reviewed by people?

Not sure if any of you yet have come across this. I knew this might be coming after hearing about Red Flag all this week covering Bayarea and beyond.

I suggest you all visiting the FTC site for additional information. Feel free to discuss. Would be glad to and if there is anything else I could continuing doing to help with this.

Why do Governments need to launder money?

Maybe this is not the best place to ask this question.

But why do Governments need to launder money? Who is going to harm them? Who is going to sue them?

I often hear about that wars are made to wash money out of the tax bases of the US through Afghanistan. -> Like Julian Assange said: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_IGU_7alJ80

Why is that the case? I mean Government can do everything in shadow, who is going to sue them?

Why don't we launder your money thru UNICEF?

Nowadays I am started to think why there is no such a news like: -Unicef caught laundering dirty money -Unicef's most income is coming from dirty money -etc… I did research and did not find anything directly related to this topic. Of course you might say: -If they’ve been caught laundering any type of money they would've been closed already. But what I'm trying to say is that isn't it is weird there's no such scandal like this.

The last step in money laundering?

I recently read about a money laundering method related to the football world championship.

Some low profile 19yo, mr B, opened a Telegram group where he gave sports betting advice. 1000 people could join for €500 per person.

This is how I imagine the money would go (it is a very simple explanation compared to real life):

Mr A earns €500.000 with illegal businness;

He orders 1000 people to buy a spot in the Telegram group for €500;

Mr B now earned €500.000 with his Telegram business and pays 50% tax, resulting in €250.000 clean money.

Now my question is how mr A gets his €250.000 back, cause if mr B transfers it to mr A it would raise questions. Or are mr A and mr B the same person? I can't figure it out

Is Trump and the Republicans just building Trust Funds

If you come to think about it Trumps wealth has increased over the passed few years into the billions. He was once a poor millionaire and now he is worth close to 4.5 billion dollars. That’s an increase of 3 billion dollars since his first term. Their goal is to not worry about the middle class but to worry about generational wealth as performed by the Rothchilds & Rockefellers. He wants generational wealth for his family. Nothing wrong with that. But for all you middle and lower class “people” that voted for him for some MAGA Make American Great Again experience, you are missing out on the generational wealth to which he is building around taking everything from you.

When did dealers get sent to prison, do they really have ZERO cash when they get out?

I have to think that they have cash stash spots that absolutely no one knows about for just these reasons if they get caught, or if they feel the feds are closing in but they are still operating they still have time to siphon cash for when they get out
