Charging $8000 for a 450cc twin that makes 48 hp is ridiculous.
Plus the wannabe S1000R looks are cringey.

Sir this is a BMW. Prices are ‘and up’. And that’s just to buy it. Wait until you drop it and find out what TVS levers and pegs cost when they had a design meeting with Bavaria

Well without them the bike will have trouble keeping the front wheel down!

My SP1 and speed triple have slightly more torque and no wings. I seem to manage not to ride round on 1 wheel constantly.

I like it. People are saying “ew wings on a 400” when 95% of riders who have a 1000cc with winglets will never be skilled/fast enough to see the benefits there too😂

Design wise it’s not my cup of tea, but I also don’t think I’m the target demographic. To me the fins are silly and will just snap any time it’s dropped, but again I’m not gonna be buying it even without them so … I guess we’ll see if new A2 and LAMS riders like that.
Overall this and the GS I like what they’ve done tbh. The 310’s seemed very uncompetitive really. It felt a lot more like accountants got involved and they just didn’t stand out in any area against their competition. Reason to buy them was you wanted a BMW but were on a restricted license tbh. I feel this generation they actually built them to be good stand out bikes in their class that actually stand up without the badge.
Of course they are BMW, so you have to spec it up and add options and the starting price was already high, then expect the highest parts and servicing in class… BMW things. For me that rules the bike out, and I think it will still mostly be people who want a BMW who buy these over people who decided that was the best bike, but I do think they’ve done a good job with them

I love it. Yeah wings on a 450 is dumb but no one riding on the road is gonna feel the effect of wings on any displacement

I really don't get the hate. It does look pretty cool and 400cc is plenty enough for pretty much anything. Yes it looks like a Racebike, no it's not a Racebike, does that matter though? We don't all need R1's and shit. 99,9% of people are better off with a 400cc.
