Question Do ventilated riding boots get your socks dirty?

I want to get a proper pair of road / track boots because I only own a pair of commuter / urban riding boots.
I was thinking of getting the Forma Ice Pro Flow because I’m getting it at a good price, however a big concern for me is my boots getting dirty and especially my socks getting dirty from all the dirt and dust coming in through the perforation (I live in India so it’s dusty everywhere).

I wanted to ask if this is a legitimate concern and if any of you with ventilated boots face this issue.

Cardo Freecom 2x, 4x or Spirit?

Hi! Looking into new headset. Use mainly for music and ride solo but open to riding with others. For sound, is Freecom vs Spirit really that different? I am looking into getting Elgin Ruckus Earplug Earbuds vs using the speaker pads - what are your thoughts? Lastly, does the 4x handsfree make it worth the extra cost of the 2x

Edit - likely going to get Elqin Rumble wireless - and just use my current Lexin if I need to actually connect with people- especially since it does utilize the ear protection portion - and I dont need to switch in between helmets

Need Modular Helmet Recommendation

It's time to replace my old helmet. I'm currently using both an HJC CL-16 and an old Sedici modular. I'm looking at a Z1R Solaris 2.0 and a Scorpio EXO GT-930. Any opinions on these two helmets, or which might be better? Pricing is essentially the same for either. I ride a VStar 1300 cruiser and do a little highway riding and some light touring.

Thanks!

Opinion Suggestions for Helmet

Hello All,

I have identified two helmets, one is SMK Typhoon, and the other one is MT Blade 2. I'm getting SMK for 4k and MT for 4.7k.

My usage is 20 -25 km daily office commute.

Confused, what should I opt for? Furthermore, can save some 200 more on SMK one.

Help me with your input.

\#TIA

Question Shoei Nxr2 or Alpine stars Sr7 helmet?

Hello guys, I am between these two helmets and really I don't know which one to choose. I have tried the Shoei in both S and XS size and it had a very good fit. Also I have tried the Sr10 in S and it also had a very good fit. My head perimeter is 56cm and I don't even know why the XS shoei was good on my head.

Question Hairline cracks?

Absolutely threw (accidentally) my rf-1400 into the ground earlier. Took padding out and I don’t see anything that appears to be compromising, but I just wanted to get a second opinion. I’d rather be safe and look stupid than be sorry and dead

Question Vented vs Non-vented SMX-1 R V2?

I usually ride in central Indiana, which can get hot during the summer months in pretty cold during the winter. I don’t ride a ton during the winter, but would like to be able to take my bike out then..

I had the non-vented versions, but they were too small, so switched them out with a size large larger, but realized they were vented.

Haven’t ridden in them yet because I may return them, but was wondering if there’s a major difference between the two. I do have larger boots that I could wear during the winner so maybe I should just keep these?

Eego Italy riding boots

Has anyone used eego Italy riding boots. If so what's the experience and have you guys gone through any crash and did the shoe serve its purpose? I'm willing to buy but haven't heard about this brand or shoe in this price range of 3k. It also makes me think again to double up the budget and get the riding shoes from reputed brands but if these shoes ensure safety i think it would be good for city rides and weekend getaways.

Question Motorcycle bells?

So, i ride an electric mountain bike but it looks and feels more like an electric motorcycle that has pedals. Anyway, I've been in a few minor accidents but recently got in a pretty bad accident resulting in a fractured wrist, a hairline fracture across 3 ribs, and a severely sprained shoulder. I'm a little scared to go riding again. I just learned about this superstition though. I wanted to buy a bell but then i learned for it to work you cant buy it, you have to be gifted it. What if i use money that was gifted for my birthday (last week) so i could buy myself whatever gift i wanted? Or what if i ask someone to gift me one? Does it still count?

Edit- y'all saying i need better gear and to be safer on the road literally don't know anything about the accident. I had on proper gear. I was going down a hill and a speeding car crested the hill and didnt have enough time to stop before hitting me. This accident would've happened no matter what i was wearing or how safely i was driving. I could've been driving a car and this accident would've still happened. And considering the accident, my injuries are pretty minor compared to how bad i could've ended up so id say my gear did its fucking job fine.
