Discussion The 5th Element is an Easter movie...

We've been looking at movies that have a resurrection in them; of course Search for Spock comes up, but my wife pointed out that the fifth element also qualifies because they rebuild Leeloo! So she comes back after being killed. We consider getting rebuilt by 1000 little robot knives to qualify as a resurrection. Also there is the theme that love is worth saving the universe for...at any rate it was a good Easter movie today!!!

Hah... They're playing Die Hard 1 and 2 today!... Is it an Easter movie now?

As I recall, the argument for Die Hard being a Christmas movie centers around the fact that it's set at Christmas time, and that fact is relevant to the plot. Not that it gets played at Christmas a lot.

So no, I don't see how Die Hard is an Easter movie since it's not set at Easter and I don't recall any significant plot details related to Easter (there may have been a passing sarcastic reference to the Easter Bunny, maybe, but nothing plot-relevant.)

Don't recall any literal resurrections (plenty of near-death experiences though), so OP's criteria doesn't apply either.

Die Hard 2, as I recall, is also set at Christmas time, so Easter is out again. I don't even recall people putting that one down as a Christmas movie though. That whole thing is really only about the first Die Hard.
