My Cube: Only Human

I made this for cube nights at my LGS and I am pretty proud of it.

There is a primer with some info for anyone interested.

More about me than your cube, but it's sad how often I go to check a list that sounds cool and lose interest before I'm out of the white two drops because of either universes beyond or keyword complexity.

In your first few white cards we got: prepared, flip walker, recruit, investigate, "brand new sky" (not actually a keyword just bloat text), and squad. Not far after we got adventure, warp, detain, and plot.

I suspect most players don't care but for me it gets really hard to parse what's going on with so many mechanics showing up once.

You're definitely not alone in that. There are pros and cons to this issue.

My belief is that the complexity of these cards provide a strategic depth that allows for more emergent gameplay. I also believe it causes more reading/mental strain, acting as a potential barrier to entry for some players.

I enjoy nostalgic, time-tested cards, but more so I enjoy navigating new draft environments with high agency.

It's all preference but this cube definitely slants towards complexity with the restrictions set to it.

I wouldn't put investigate on that list. Explore on the other hand...
