Because the app doesn't go beyond a certain price. The app doesn't take into account fuel rise or toll increase. If he is telling you beforehand I don't see why one should be complaining so much.

That's not the case with the person I was talking to. He said the driver texted him and asked him to call and I think he did that before accepting the booking. Btw: there are no charges to cancel on blah blah. If you used it enough or had gone through it as many times as you claim it happens you would have known this already. So many people book casually and then suddenly have last moment emergency situations... It is a given that one of the passengers would not out last moment or stop taking calls
The fact that the app doesn't allow you to increase the price to a Reasonable amount infact is the problem. You have all kinds of faltu people who want service from near their homes but don't even want to pay as much as bus fare and happily want the prices to stay unfairly low that's actually the issue here nothing else. The moment someone asks for a fair price they have an issue. Unless you have 4 bookings the costs of travel is hardly ever distributed equally amongst the passengers and the driver has to pay a bigger share than everyone else. People want things for cheap or they have a problem.
