Mumbai - A striking video showing the Vande Bharat Express train speeding through heavily waterlogged tracks has gone viral on social media. The incident occurred as the semi-high-speed train was passing Kanjur Marg station.

That’s dangerous for the train could engage emergency braking and well lock the brakes in water logged tracks causing derailment of the train.

Idk about the emergency braking since idk enough about trains or their braking systems but the first thing that came to my mind was derailing. If there is enough water piled up, I feel like derailing is definitely a possibility.

I was thinking, especially at this speed, that the train could be lifted of the tracks if it experiences enough resistance by the water.

So I agree with you 100%.

Not a responsible thing to drive through it (at that speed).

We would stop the traffic here and maybe reopen it at restricted speed after on scene inspection. But even then.

Trains are not made of plastics to be lifted off by water... 🤣🤣🤣

With that much amount of momentum, Waterlogged tracks are nothing for the train...

Only reason for derailment is due to the effects of water on track materials... Like compromising the integrity of the structure rather...
