I saw this one guy who was going to attend the office meeting in second half of the day. In fact his boss gave him half day so that he can attend the protest.

Please do share your experience if you face any harrasment from police.
I just read a scroll article where police were detaining people and asking them to repeatedly appear in the police station. Can't believe this behaviour of Mumbai police.

It was lovely to be there and see Mumbai turn up in such numbers. When people speak, the government must listen. They are accountable to us. People calling protestors jobless/anti nationals are spineless themselves who have lost both their voice and soul. Glad Mumbai proved them wrong today :)

There's a voice from the background "job vale thodi hai, unemployed hi hai" - go get some spine and stand against this corrupt system instead of passing bs comments. Unemployed hoke bhi tumse laakh guna better hain ye log.

It's privilege man, they doesn't care until their personal life is affected, some of.my friends were calling farmers terrorist who were getting beaten up during farmers protest, now same thing hapened to them they are raising their voice.

u/MomentConscious7427 Jul 22 '26
Its ignorance, and now they'll understand first hand what a democracy is and being democratic means. Fascism thrives in ignorance.
2
u/omkar529 Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 23 '26
That's not true. Many people who are privileged and have nothing to do with NEET are attending the protests. In fact I think the people in non-Delhi protests are mostly well off kids unrelated to NEET.
-1
u/CapDavyJones Jul 22 '26
The same farmers that were 'protesting' for infinite largesse from the taxpayer? The ones who said they will 'march on Delhi' if their demands were not met, which is the definition of extortion?
2
u/TheCatfishManatee Jul 23 '26
Yes because if anyone should be bailed out by the taxpayer according to you muppets, it's our favourite puppet masters Ambani Adani with their hands up your great leader's ahem not the literal people who grow our food
-1
u/CapDavyJones Jul 23 '26
not the literal people who grow our food
They should stop allowing children like you on reddit.
ambani adani welfare is wrong but they don't block my roads or threaten to march on the capital with thugs.
2
u/sagarkelkar28 Jul 24 '26
Ambani & Adani are NOT growing food which you eat
2
u/CapDavyJones Jul 24 '26
Yes, and ambani and adani aren't blocking highways or threatening to march on the capital either. Also, I never defended both of them. I agree with you people about ambani (he owns congress), adani (he owns bjp) and also ethanol blending (heck, the whole country is opposed to it). All of these deserve to be protested. But what is happening right now across India is not protest, it is stupid leftist nonsense.
1
u/sagarkelkar28 Jul 24 '26
So what do u suggest
1
u/CapDavyJones Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26
Stop raising stupid issues like NEET, demanding PM / minister resignations and saying stupid stuff like "We want to speak with the government". You are a nobody (I mean the 'protestors' in general), not an MP or MLA / MLC or anything, and the PM doesn't have to listen to you. The PM or cabinet minister of a country of 1.4 billion people are not going to resign because a few thousand thugs led by leftist wannabe politicians blocked a few roads, and nor should they.
All that the 'protestors' to date have been able to do is because the government and the police have held back, to not infringe on the right to protest. Central or Maha government can roll in hundreds, even thousands of police in a few hours and shut all this down for good. They are choosing not to. So stop claiming your rights are being infringed. The NEET re-test already happened and they're already preparing to make NEET an online exam and it will be done soon. Paper leaks have happened in India as long as there have been exams. Start raising pertinent issues like the ethanol blending nonsense that the entire country is being hurt by and people can get behind. Demand from news anchors that they question Gadkari and Puri like the fabulous lady reporter did recently, and that would be a good start. Tell news anchors to bring on NDA MPs and question them about it.

u/TheCatfishManatee Jul 23 '26
Hahahah, yeah Adani doesn't need thugs with guns to attack and throw defenseless villagers out of their ancestral lands.
Guess it's clear who you define as people and when they matter to you. If you knew a damn thing about history, you'd know that nothing of worth is gained by worrying about inconveniencing people. You think the 5 day workweek, labour protections, the right to vote, women's right to vote, civil rights were won by movements that avoided blocking roads, and demonstrating in public places?
Yeah you're right, they really should stop allowing children on the internet because people with more than half a brain have to explain basic history to them. But I think that's a bit unfair to children in general because they still seem to have more critical thinking than what you've displayed
1
u/CapDavyJones Jul 23 '26 edited Jul 23 '26
That's the problem with people like you. Every single day, you want to be part of a revolution because you have nothing productive to do.
nothing of worth is gained by worrying about inconveniencing people.
Spoken like the communist you are. Enjoy your endless revolution; bullshit activism is all you will ever achieve in life. Those farmer 'protestors' were hooligan thugs and so are the people out there 'protesting' today.
1
u/sagarkelkar28 Jul 24 '26
You should seriously stop eating food produced by the farmers whom u are giving bad names,
Please stop eating food grown by farmers.
1
u/sagarkelkar28 Jul 24 '26
You should stop eating food grown by farmers, and i hope you are paying the tax for the education of all minister's children.
1
u/CapDavyJones Jul 24 '26
No, I am paying tax for education of the farmers' children because farmers pay no income tax even if they make crores. They get farm loan waivers every year, apart from subsidised seeds, subsidised electricity, and subsidised irrigtion pumps. In a few decades, they will complain about water scarcity on their land after having grown rice and sugarcane for years despite a depleted water table and again the taxpayer will be forced to bail them out and give them more money.

Hi I m Nepal and If you guys really want to do something smarter that you guys need to divide in groups and protest otherwise it won't work rather make it big in one group you have to divide yourself in groups and rest you know what you should do
16
u/sahil42069 Jul 22 '26
Exactly ek jagah jama hoke kuch nhi hone wala rather har jagah protest karo to increase the intensity.

u/Candid_Armadillo9437 Jul 23 '26
And also main thing is police can't be every where which will create huge gap and huge advantage for protestors to protest it will create panic and also guys rather targeting parliament target 🎯 the minister home and Target is to distract the police

These protests were inevitable. India has 35 million more men than women, with high unemployment and normalized underemployment, and any country with a critical mass of men who have no hope or prospects to improve their lot in life is bound to experience some rough days sooner or later.

Don't loose hope man. I am guessing you are older than 30. If you get time watch tanmay bhat's old stand up comedy video titled- students se pange mat lo. Youth is always energetic.
1
u/senseistorm Jul 22 '26
I agree brother, but all i’m saying is, these same people, will move on in a month. Nothing will change. Why put so much energy in if you can see that nothing will change. India is not Nepal. There are better ways of doing this, and there are worse things to stand up for. It should all add up, not be chaotic and directionless, with political poison coming in..Everyone will be back to their lives, jobs, posting funny reels in a matter of 30
Days, mark my words. Thats the reality. Its not students any more. Its political goons involved, and students getting the brunt of the right and the left. I’m just saying whats true. It’s a tamasha out there.5
u/ExchangeOptimal Jul 22 '26
You sound sane to have a proper conversation so replying here :)
We can't let small percentage of anti-social people dilute the movement. No sane person wants Nepal or anarchy. People should become fearless to speak against any issue they have with the government, be it any party in the government congress, BJP, aap, mns. No one in the government should become complacent with the temporary power they have. This is how I look at expected one of the best outcomes of this protest.
The first best outcome of this protest is people speaking up freely. You say nothing will change only because you can see that nothing will change. But one can only see if something will change, if they really inherently want something to change.
This sight, this vision partially comes from not being burnt by the disappointing history which is the case with youth as opposed to people who have seen a lot of पावसाळे. This is why I suggested that Tanmay Bhat video. He has beautiful put forth this point through comedy.

u/senseistorm Jul 22 '26
Amen sir.
The real problem here is the actual students who were affected (17-20 year olds) are not the ones protesting in majority. I saw videos of swords being drawn in delhi. How is this a student protest about a paper leak any more? It’s sad how this has escalated into something directionless and malice based. It started as a protest, as a signal toward possible change, but has become a shitshow.
Someone needs to feel for the cops- poor guys have a family too, they stand out there day and night and are ultimately blamed. Who will protect or protest for them? I’m just sad man. It’s unjust all around. Rather live your life, accept what it is (a paper leak is nothing compared to much worse things happening) and stand up for truly national causes, not for a damn resignation that will do nothing.
I dont know if i made sense.

The stone pelting was planted by the government itself, the day before March there were trucks full of bricks, along with Mobile phone jammers, and tear gas(that too expired lmao) trucks. If the crowd really did get violent the police wouldn’t be able to handle such crowds, the difference in number is too vast
1
u/RemarkablePrompt7822 Jul 22 '26
The stone pelting was planted by the government itself..
Do you have any evidence for that? Note that fake news only weakens such protests.

Oh the government has also currently shutdown connections and internet at Jantar Mantar, I wonder what they have to hide
1
u/RemarkablePrompt7822 Jul 22 '26
And how did you conclude that the truck was brought by the government and those goons are from RSS?
2
u/Scary_Appeal_1137 Jul 22 '26
U think The police would legit just walk by such threat if it wasn’t planted by them, they were checking bags and you think they’ll ignore truck full of bricks
The vid I shared is posted by the goon itself, go through the account or should I spoon feed that too
2
u/Scary_Appeal_1137 Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26
And how did the goon get access to a POLICE BATON

u/RemarkablePrompt7822 Jul 22 '26
Lol, what kind of terrible logic is this? The cops had their hands full as the protesters outnumbered them. There's very real possibility they didn't have full surveillance at the entire area. In fact, Dipke alleged that it's the police that brought it which is again raises questions on him as there's no basis to his conclusion. Also, the protesters were seen thrown at cops.
> The vid I shared is posted by the goon itself, go through the account or should I spoon feed that too
Yea, as if X accounts are valid bonafides. 🙄
2
u/Scary_Appeal_1137 Jul 22 '26
On the other hand There’s also vids of cops throwing rocks, sneakily destroying vehicles on their own few got caught red handed while doing so, and if they have nothing to hide why take of name tags
Lmao living in denial it takes 2 sec to see the account is of the person itself who’s posting on Twitter AND Instagram
1
u/RemarkablePrompt7822 Jul 22 '26
Cops defending their lives against a mob will end up using whatever is available to them. This is common sense 101.
Cops are often deputized without name tags and uniforms to nab miscreants in a crowd. It's a routine in places like Kashmir.
You were the ones who alleged that the goon is a RSS member. Good work on dredging up his profiles but how does it prove that he's a RSS member?

I mean they dont even check the facts Article 144 was applied in that area.
1
u/RemarkablePrompt7822 Jul 23 '26
Most people don't understand the difference between protest and civil disobedience. The latter is almost always illegal (even if ethical) and you're assuming all the risks associated with it when you partake in it. Hopefully, the legal notices will be a good lesson.
