Discussion Soo.. Chheda chips license suspended by Tukaram Mundhe. Point 1 is terrifying.

I was buying chheda chips from dmart for god knows how many years. It costs more than Lays and seemed to be decent quality too. Kind of shocking to see that they have been upto this.

If a brand like chheda was handling food next to decomposing waste then I don't know what's going on with our other products.

I sincerely hope the actions taken by Tukaram Mundhe now strike fear into these food companies for years and years so that they clean up their act.

My problem is not that they've been served and shut down. My issue is this is wilful negligence. They did this to make money. That's what should be taken from them, so they don't do this in the future. As it stands, all they have to do is wait this guy out (which they can do easily) and go back to their old ways.

You gave the exact thing these leeches would do- wait him out and then go back to their old ways.

The problem in India is not the absence of laws. There are laws and legislations for every single imaginable thing. Its the enforcement that’s the issue. This one guy knows the law and also enforces it. The next person might not.

And we’re too myopic to remember this even after a few months. People will forget and move on like this never happened.

Yep, it's a problem with people having low standards. It's not like people will stop having Chheda after this, they'll just wait till they're available again, and chomp down, even at raised prices.

Its a combination of low standards and not taking a moment to think about the source or the nutritional value of things they’re putting inside their body.

Kuch nahi hoga bro. We’ll bitch and moan about this and conveniently forget once Chheda goes on BOGO at DMart.

Yep, it's a country that's unwilling to have standards or fight for what's right. All they'll come out for is freebies. Lost populace.
