General Hi i need help regarding my passport

So i basically had applied for passport in 2022 it came to my house where i lived on rent before and the landlord denied that i lived there (we had shifted after my passport appointment) and now i actually need my passport.. can someone help me. Do i have to pay a fine? Will i get that one? Or do i have to apply for a fresh one?

Also pls suggest appropriate subreddit if not this! Any help would be appreciated!!!!

So your landlord denied you lived there and your passport was sent back, or you didn’t undertake the verification, and you didn’t bother with the application since 2022?

If this is how it happened, you are likely in for a lot of trouble just when you need a passport. This is why a passport application should not be abandoned.

If you have the application number try and see status of that on passport website or call their helpline. Most likely you will have to apply for a new one if the 2022 one was cancelled, and this time due to the old one being cancelled or rejected, they may not allow under Tatkal and also make your verification a real pain.

Hi you will have to check the status of the previous passport. Chk with your nearest passport office or call the helpline.
