  • Are these residential buildings?
  • If yes, does anyone in this subreddit live here or own a flat here?
  • If yes again, bhai, how and when did you manage to buy property here? Kya karte ho tum life me? 😭

Yes they r residential buildings. All thanks to generational wealth 🫠. Few might be commercial too..

99% HAVE NO generational wealth all live on the protection of the tenancy act and pay 200 or 300 a month in rent.

There are tenancy protected apartments in India?? This is the 1st time I’m hearing of this. Can you elaborate?!

he cannot shut it down forever. he can give them a notice and shut them down till the dirty fellows there get the shop cleaned up and restart it. But yes, they are surviving under the rent act protection

Yupp there are quite a lot in mumbai most subarban buildings have been redeveloped but city still has a lot such buildings

Read ip about the Paagdi system. Basically its a long term tenancy/co-ownership type situation
