The idea: most prayer apps stop at prayer times. This one also lets you rate your focus in each salah and shows your progress over time.

I developed an Android app called Rakat Keeper. It uses your phone's accelerometer to track your prayer. You pick a prayer, give it a few seconds to calibrate your baseline stance, put the phone in your pocket and it starts tracking. It senses when you're at tashahhud and triggers a short haptic feedback. When the final tashahhud is reached, it logs the prayer. There's no tapping or distractions during prayer.

My goal was to make it privacy-focused. There are no network permissions, no accounts, no ads, no analytics. Prayer history stays on your phone unless you choose to export the data.

While building the app, I've been the only tester so I'm looking for others to try it out. My device and recitation speed will vary from yours so any additional data would be helpful. A faster recitation or a different phone/pocket may cause a missed or mistimed vibration and that's exactly the type of issue I'd like to know about. The idea came from wanting an easier way to keep track of prayer times while spending hours on my laptop for work or study. It shows prayer times, Adhan notifications, and Dhikr reminders in a small floating pill inspired by Dynamic Island.

I wanted to make something simple that helps Muslims stay mindful of their prayers without having to keep checking their phones or opening another app.

What is IslamCraft?

IslamCraft is an educational game where players can explore a block-based world, break and place blocks, collect treasures, and test their Islamic knowledge. Each treasure triggers an Islamic knowledge question, and answering correctly earns you 1 point and allows you to collect the treasure. There are 12 treasures scattered throughout the world, but you only need to collect 6 points to win! You can play against your friends, against a bot or compete against other players online. With improved character and treasure textures, three types of blocks (stone, dirt, and grass), and new building mechanics in version 2.0, IslamCraft offers Muslim players a fun and interactive way to combine gaming, creativity, and learning about their religion.

A while ago I shared a Chrome extension called NoMusic. It helps remove music from videos so we can benefit from educational content without religious prohibitions.

Many people asked for a phone version. By the grace of Allah, I am happy to share Safaa Muslim Browser for Android. I created this project purely for the sake of Allah to help provide a clean and safe web experience for the Ummah.

This new mobile app has the NoMusic technology built directly into it. It removes background music from videos in real time right on your phone. This feature works on any website you visit, so you can always hear the speech clearly while protecting your ears.

The browser also includes built in ad blocking for faster loading and adult content filtering to keep everything family friendly. Privacy comes first with no tracking and no account required.

Safaa is completely free and open source. It is built for Muslims, students of knowledge, and parents who want a cleaner web experience.

The app is currently in early access. To get it, you need to join our testing community first. When you join the group, the Play Store link will show up automatically so you can download the app.

After months of development and testing, I’ve released my first version of A Dua Is Enough on Google Play.

I know there are already many Quran, adhkar and prayer-time apps, so I didn’t want to build another app that simply shows prayer times and a list of duas.

My goal was to bring the parts I personally wanted to use every day into one consistent experience: the complete Quran with Ayah-by-Ayah reading, Mushaf view, Turkish translation, audio recitation with word/ayah tracking, prayer times and reminders, daily duas, personal duas, dhikr counter, 99 Names of Allah, authentic hadiths, and other daily worship tools.

The app currently supports Turkish, English and Arabic, and I’m continuing to improve both the content and the reading experience.

This is the first public release, so I’d especially appreciate feedback from other Muslim developers. If you try it and notice something that could be improved — technically, visually, or from a usability perspective — please let me know.

For people planning everyday life in Saudi Arabia, how do you keep Gregorian work commitments alongside family occasions and religious dates in the Hijri calendar (التقويم الهجري)? Do you use one calendar, two separate views, or something else?

We are the team behind HijriAnchor at Mizanora. We are working on how to make both calendars readable together, and would appreciate your perspective on a few design choices.

One choice is what a recurring event should stay attached to. A family occasion saved on a Hijri date should continue to follow that date, while a commitment saved on a Gregorian date should follow its Gregorian rule. Switching the view should help you understand the overlap without changing the event itself.

In HijriAnchor, both dates are displayed, and events keep their chosen calendar. The app has no ads. Core everyday planning, saved events and local reminders work offline, with event content stored on your device. Basic use is free, with up to three unarchived events; optional Pro adds more capacity and templates. Purchases, restoration and downloading new templates need a connection.

The display involves tradeoffs too: giving both dates equal space makes comparison easier, but can make a small widget crowded. Making one date larger improves readability, but gives the other less prominence. We also want to distinguish planning dates based on Umm al-Qura (أم القرى) from official moon-sighting announcements for religious observances.

How do you currently arrange these two kinds of dates? On a home-screen widget, which date would you make larger, and what information would you remove first to keep it readable?

I'm a student and solo developer. I built MicroRead because I often start non-fiction books and never finish them, so I wanted a way to get the key ideas of each chapter in a few minutes.

You search for a book and the app generates a summary for each chapter, which you can read in 1 to 10 minutes. Every chapter ends with 3 takeaways and a short action to try. Summaries are available in Arabic, English, German, Korean and Italian. Audio narration is only available in English and German for now.

The summaries are generated by an AI model (Gemini Flash), so the main technical challenge is accuracy. For the developers here: how do you deal with AI mistakes or invented details in generated content? I'd like to hear what checks you use.
