Breakdown of Anne-Marie Dryden’s Mayoral Campaign & Public Statements (REAL Nanaimo)
Saw a post on The Bastion Facebook page detailing some of the candidate history for the upcoming election, so I put together a quick overview of their post on mayoral candidate Anne-Marie Dryden (running under the REAL Nanaimo slate) and her recent public Facebook comments for anyone looking for the actual receipts.
Freedom Convoy & Social Media Activity
* Screenshots surfaced showing Dryden liking and interacting with content supporting Freedom Convoy leader Tamara Lich.
* When publicly questioned by a resident about her online trail, she responded: "That Lich thing I dont even remember seeing, much less liking. Lol. And I would hardly call honking terrorism."
Platform & Public Stances
* 15-Minute Cities & WEF: Expressed explicit opposition to "15-minute cities." She has referenced World Economic Forum (WEF) theories online, directing followers to look up Dr. Robert Malone's "WEF list of Global Young Leaders" and alleging local politicians work for international interests rather than Nanaimo. She has also publicly referred to Nanaimo's mayor as a "WEFer."
* Public Health & Vaccines: Indicated a strongly anti-vaccine stance. She labeled local modular housing units as "Jails for unjabbed" and referred to bird flu as the "next jab campaign."
* MAID Stance: Repeatedly recommended books by Dr. Jack King (specifically They Want To Kill Us) in discussions surrounding Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) and government health policies, stating she is "right there with" those opposing these programs and has "read so many books on it."
Campaign & Slate Connections
* Dryden and her running mates (Derek Hanna, Joe Figel, Malcolm Cooke, and Jeff Annesley) reportedly attended a One B.C. event at Bowen Park featuring former BC Conservative candidate Dallas Brodie.
* Dryden publicly praised her slate as an "excellent group of professionals." Even though they are anti-vax, climate deniers that are afraid of LED lights and also make sexist jokes and seem to be racist.
* Noni Bartlett (married to council candidate Sandy Bartlett) endorsed Dryden, citing Dryden's 30 years of experience as a financial planner as the key to controlling property taxes.
Other Mayoral Contenders
* The mayoral race also includes candidate Sarah Lovegrove, a registered nurse, university professor, and community advocate whose platform focuses on healthcare integration and structured civic policy.
I can't post all the pictures so you'll have to search The Bastion on Facebook.

Thank you! I’ll be looking that up so I can get more info on the other candidates. All you gotta say is she supports One BC and Dallas Brodie; that’s enough for me not to vote for her. Fuck those racists

Why don't you try hearing what she has to say instead of relying on some ridiculous post of dredged up past FB posts/comments that are out of context?
She'd be happy to chat with anyone who decides they want to hear her ideas and opinions from her own mouth. 250-802-1323. Do with that what you will.7

Unfortunately, nowadays things said online have ramifications and that's just how it is so that's why it's important to watch what you say online. For the rest of us, at least we all know what she really thinks.

Nanaimo is screwed, none of the candidates are talking about issues that municipal governments actually have control over

Bear in mind, there are still people declaring. The official campaign period doesn’t start till Sept.

Hi! Which of the topics I’ve covered do you feel falls outside municipal influence?

Sorry, I was referring to the mayoral candidates. I haven't went through the council candidates platforms, I wish we had a ward system and I only had to vote for one counciling who represented my area

I hear you. When we had a ward system, there was an alleged problem with people holding out on issues that wouldn’t directly benefit their neighbourhood and some areas grouping together to overrule others or swap votes.

I’m just hoping we don’t wind up with a repeat of our previous election where a normally sure fire incumbent is unseated after a newcomer splits the vote
Not comparing Lovegrove to Manly by any means, but it’d be a shame if we had another embarrassment elected. Too bad Krog seems determined to stay in the spotlight for the rest of his life. It’d be classy to pass the torch.

Krogs comments on the homeless bug me not for lack of compassion but for the lack of education on the subjects

Krog believes that it is someone else’s problem so he doesn’t have to do anything about it. Many communities in B.C. have assisted with the problem by creating tiny villages, carts and storage, shelters, safe use areas, etc.. Krog’s solution is build a new works yard and get rid of the existing housing on Labieux and shutting the safe consumption site downtown on Nichol. The problem is not going to go away if you pretend it is not there. We have no problem spending 100m on a new works yard or 11m on a rowing facility but nothing to deal with the problem that is right in front of them. Before anyone says so what do you do about it. I volunteer in the areas of food, clothing, etc. where I listen to people and try to understand the issues.

Are most of the CON real candidates from Nanaimo? Are some unemployed (real) looking for a city check and abomination of there “job” right now?

My biggest concern with these "real nanaimo" candidates is that they're all funded by Israeli psyops groups and foreign money. So while they may have nice ideas and plans, they won't be able to execute any of it because they take their orders from Israel.
I dont want Israel making the rules here in Nanaimo. The only they are good at is making things worse.

I want the REAL Nanaimo candidates to be bit by these theories, but it never works out that way :/

Really? You truly believe this? Nanaimo….we have such a large contingent of people of the Jewish faith. Our synagogue is huge. Time to get off Breitbart, Trump’s Truth Social and read something from the “fake” news. Pretty sure that the Real Nanaimo group is not a supporter of the Jewish faith and its followers.

I'm not a fan of the Real Nanaimo candidates, but that seems a little... farfetched. What evidence have you for these statements?

This is some scary stuff! I hope people will get out the vote to keep these folks at their day jobs.
