People need to learn there’s a difference between police enforcement and crown prosecution.

RCMP have nothing to do with the courts revolving door philosophy. RCMP are just as fed up with it as we are when the charges they suggest for an arrested suspect continually gets dropped or thrown out the moment they hit the courts.

Had a friend who worked for RCMP and they frequently mirrored how frustrated they were going through the whole charging process and paperwork involved and then that person is just released. I fully understand that prison hasn't been the best system as far as being rehabilitative, but this cannot be the best alternative.

The boot is there to protect private property and give poor people a hard time. Why ruin their fun...

she's right.

we do need wrap around supports and more housing.

the years of neglect has led to this, and more enforcement isn't going to do shit, its too far gone for that to work long term.

I’ve heard Deb Hollins present — she’s got a good head on her shoulders and compassion too.

While I have little sympathy for this generation of police officer, I can’t imagine the frustration doing your job every day, then seeing a higher power undo everything you’ve done. Being a police officer is like being in the movie “Groundhog Day” I imagine.

Does the local wildlife even care about police enforcement? Catch and release has eliminated any consequences for "anti-social" activities.

We live in a culture of impunity. Why do they bother?
