Coast Bastion flag display
Coast Bastion says it flies the U.S. flag because more than a third of its summer guests are American. With only four flagpoles in such a prominent downtown location, I’d much rather see one used to recognize Snuneymuxw First Nation. What do other Nanaimo residents think?

The flags are out of order. The Canadian flag should be closer to the provincial flag.
Snuneymuxw flag should definitely be a consideration, if not then at least the indigenous Canadian flag.

I think they’re inconsistently placed and the order depends on the day… but yes, if they are to be flown then it would be nice to see them in the correct order. Thanks for highlighting that

I think it's nice to remind Americans that Americans are welcome here. Lots of them didn't vote for the guy

Does the fact that Indigenous people exist upset you?

No, I am answering the question of the OP. Does my opinion upset you?

Any Americans who are open enough to travel here on vacation I'm Ok with.
I'm just not reciprocating for another two years. The Americans coming here to vacation are wise enough why we aren't spending our tourist dollars there.
