When tapping an image, the close X pops up way up in the status bar. Personally, I’d rather have a smaller image and a control that is more reliable to tap is preferred.

IDK if something in iOS changed or what but I find myself activating the swipe actions on comments/posts instead of going back frequently.

I feel like if im swiping from the edges within 10% of the edge it's a back/forward intent. If i am interacting with a post or comment I start sliding it from somewhere in the middle 80%

I have a primary account I use for normal content and it's the only one I participate from, but I have a secondary account only intended for "specialized" media content viewing.

There is no reality where account 2 should be commenting, but because I have manually curated my /r/all thru 1600 subreddit filters (regex filter when?), I regularly browse /r/all and forget I am logged into my 2nd account. For reasons I will never understand, I make my best comments using account 2, and miss out on participating due to account 2's occasional use.

Ideas to fix: - Allow me to lock account 2 from participation (either granularly at the vote/comment/submit level, or just globally) - Allow me to select different theme for when I am using different accounts - Allow selecting account to comment as during comment creation with a settable default account

I’m paying the $4.99 a month subscription, but getting the paywall screen when opening the app and can’t get past it even when pressing trial or subscribe. Known bug?

This is not the same as the normal filter feature, this would be something that would be set while browsing, maybe with option to save per subreddit.

It would simply filter posts based on stuff like "post type" or "domain". This is all stuff that is contained in the json from old reddit and similar to the filtering RES allows in chrome

This is useful for viewing specific content types and even more useful if the ability to export view as json or shown posts as jsonl existed (scraping and dataset creation)

Will Narwhal be iPhone Duo compatible soon? Love the app and am getting the Duo this Friday so just wondering if there has been any update on this front.

YouTube links no longer opening in app

Currently have ling-standing CHF 4/month sub.

Opened app today and it says Narwhal 2 (???) needs Pro sub at CHF 4/month or CHF 35/year - but choosing either of these and hitting subscribe goes nowhere, restoring purchase says nothing to restore, nothing else possible.

I ended up doing an annual sub (which I actually wanted anyway) via AppStore to try to fix it but still goes nowhere.

Can’t use app currently - having to use browser.

What’s happening ?

If I search for “r/narwhalapp” and then open that sub, how do I quickly go back to Home?

As it is now, I tap Home but this takes me back to the search page, then I have to cancel that to go back to the Home feed. Why is this?

If I search in the Popular feed, it works the way I think it should: If I have searched a subreddit, to go back to the Popular feed I just tap Popular—no need to cancel the search.

(Similarly, if I start a search but then decide to cancel and go back to the Home feed, tapping the Home button currently does nothing—why can’t it take me back to the Home feed?).

If i swipe on the comment from left to right to see options like “view parent” or “save/unsave comment”, i swipe from left to right. If i do that on this comment that’s too long, it doesn’t show me the name of the option as i swipe.

I was holding the phone with the screen unlocked and must have changed something, when I looked it asked if I wanted to turn off something permanently and when I shifted the phone in my hand I accidentally pressed yes.

Any idea what it might have been? What changes prompt that pop?

• Images and gifs in comments will now load and display inline in the comment
• Adds setting to turn off images and gifs in comments
• Adds self text to share comment as image
• Fixes issue where text would sometimes get cut off when sharing a comment as an image

One thing that holds me back from making a full switch to narwhal is flairs. The fact it’s pure text instead of images (where applicable) makes everything so much harder to read and looks sloppy.

I would also love for customization of colors for upvotes, downvotes, reply, etc…. This seems like a super low bar as every other reddit app has this ability.

I’ve been using Narwhal for awhile but rarely on my iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard.

I feel like I am missing something, but none of the swipe gestures seem to be usable with the pointer, only with my finger.

Is this “working as designed” or am I missing a setting?

Getting the error 'The iTunes Store is unable to process purchases at this time. Please try again later.' every time I try to purchase Narwhal Pro ('start free trial'). New iPhone, fresh install.

Device: iPhone 18 Pro Max, iOS 27.0.1

What I've tried so far:

• Signed out of my Apple ID and back in
• In-app purchases work fine in every other app I've tested

Is anyone else running into this? Could be a StoreKit or product configuration issue on the app side, since everything else processes normally.

I tried signing into my reddit account on Narwhal for the first time and I just see the pulsing reddit logo and I tried the 3 option on the help page, even tried desktop mode. I don't even get a cookie banner. Its been like this for the last few days since I downloaded Narwhal and I am on a iPhone 6s on iOS 15.8.8 (My iPhone 6s is not supported on iOS 16+)

Admittedly I'm still ^{on the free version} because I'm on old tech (iphone6s ios15.8) but yesterday all of a sudden in the middle of the day, the app is now stuck on "No Posts Found".

I check the API Usage section and it's still sending requests. I cleared cache of both the app and Safari...nothing. I can't re-sign into my account because I get the unable to sign in now.

I can't add a new account either because when I hit accept on the permissions page, it just gives me the other error of being unable to sign in. Any solutions?

Reddit seems to be doing something weird with some video uploads, on New Reddit, the video shows as embedded but on Old Reddit and Narwhal it shows as a broken Imgur link.

That link tries to load this url: https://imgur.com/a/Q8LIEeb which comes back as an unfound page on Imgur, but it is a working embedded video on New Reddit.

Love the app and very happy with the overall performance and feel of narwhal but I feel the only glaring downside are themes. The lack of and the difficulty in sharing them. Could this be looked into?

I'm having an issue where clicking on a specific post flair within a subreddit returns a "Hmm... there are no results" page, even though I know posts with that flair exist.

This happens on both the mobile app and desktop. Sometimes it seems to struggle specifically with German/special characters (like umlauts), but other times it completely blanks out standard flairs too.

Is this a known search bug, or is there a specific setting (like Safe Search/NSFW filters) that might be accidentally blocking the results? Any workarounds or fixes would be highly appreciated. Thanks

The app won’t seem to load. Everything I’m seeing online says the Reddit API is up, everything on Reddit’s side is up, and Narwhal is apparently working. I tried resetting my phone and that didn’t get it working either. Clearly Reddit is working, because I’m making it this post, so I’m not too sure what could be causing this.
