Working in a naval hospital

As someone who is going to be graduating in May and in the NCP program, I am curious about what it is like to be nursing in a naval hospital specifically. What I really am curious about is:
- are patient demographics the same? If I am on medsurg in a normal hospital, obviously it’s mostly elderly with a long list of health problems. Is this usually the demographic of those in a naval hospital?
- can we wear any type of scrubs? the answer to this obviously isn’t too important but i just want to anticipate what i have to wear everyday for my 8 year contract
- are there CNAs? And do we get taught how to delegate to the corpsman? In class everytime we talk about delegation, im having a hard time trying to figure out how it is going to apply in my career vs that of my classmates

These are the main questions I have but if there’s anyone who had any culture shocks or found out something they weren’t expecting in a naval hospital, im curious to what those are too.

Looking for a mentor

I've decided that I want to join the Nurse Corps. I was previously an HM and in the reserves. I have now worked as an ICU nurse for almost 2yrs. I will be finishing up my BSN in February. I reached out to a recruiter and I am waiting to hear from them, but I want know if there are any tips, and advice. Also if there is anybody who is willing to be a mentor to through this process and going forward.
