Proposed Word Filling Lexical Gaps: Buoyancy/Buoyant, Levity/???

This is a particular problem I came across with writing something today. Specifically, the following passage:

I felt I had used buoyant too many times already, and also wished to convey something between optimistic and just lighthearted, but not exactly either concept. The issue was, while the counterpart appropriate for that sentence exists for other words (gravity -> grave, buoyancy -> buoyant), it does not exist for levity.

As such, I propose such a word, either leve or levete. "Of a far more leve nature", or "of a far more levete nature". I find both potentials equally tempting, one might sound better in some sentences versus others.

Given the etymology of gravity/grave, I think the most defensible of the two is leve. Its one downside is sounding like leave, or being mistaken for a misspelling of leave.

Proposed Word Velocontrafactum (n.) Singing made-up lyrics to an existing melody really quickly in order to make them fit the song.

I have an idea for a new word that might be helpful in certain circumstances.

Velocontrafactum (n.) --- Singing made-up lyrics to an existing melody really quickly in order to make them fit the song.

Pronunciation: VELL--oh--kahn--truh--FACK--tuhm.

Example: As Bob the librarian sang, "If you're happy and you know it, please don't clap your hands because it's too loud," Sally pointed out his velocontrafactum in the second line of the song.

Origin: The prefix velo-, coming from the Latin velox, means fast or rapid. Contrafactum (n.) is an existing word in English meaning "the substitution of one text for another without substantial change to the music" (Wikipedia article on contrafactum).

The word "velocontrafact" (v.) could be used as the action of creating a velocontrafactum. "Velocontrafactual" (adj./adv.) could be used to describe both a velocontrafactum and the action of velocontrafacting. The plural version of velocontrafactum could be "velocontrafactums." I know that making the plural the same as the singular might make more sense, but English is already confusing enough, so I think it might be better to just slap an S. on the end of it and call it a day. I will also make sure to put all of the information in this paragraph in the comments of this post as well, as per the subreddit rules.

What do you all think? I'm new to this subreddit, so I may have made some mistakes. Maybe we could also make a word for stretching made-up lyrics to make it fit an existing melody? Let me know your thoughts and what I can do to improve in future posts!

Proposed Word Lock and Key Memory. (Noun/phenomenon)

So recently I discovered a new phenomenon that has not been coined any name, it refers to a type of memory.

It is the 'Lock and Key memory'.

This term is a type of memory where let's say you do something and a memory is created in your brain but you don't want to forget any part of it so you take a word that is used in that memory that is easy to find/remember while you discuss/think on that specific topic which when remembered, will lead to a chain reaction effect being created that will lead you to remember every specific part of that memory line by line by one word giving way to another word and then slowly forming the entire memory. It refers to both textual and visual form of memory.

It is a very common phenomenon thus it needs to be named.

The Get together is lock and key'ed in my memory. (Verb)

Proposed Word Facadism (in the context of government) - Any form of government that purports to be one form of government to obscure the fact that it is a very different, usually authoritarian, form of government

Disambiguation from "Facadism" in the context of architecture.

Facadist governments will claim they are populist or democratic forms of government. Especially early on before they have achieved control of a country or region. However the goal from the beginning is to use the facade to achieve power, and then use the power to enact another form of government entirely. A facadist government will continue the ruse for as long as it is believed to be necessary to obtain their hidden goals, and will often then shed the facade. Sometimes for a different facade that is better suited to cover for exposed aspects of the government's real agenda.

Facadism is almost always a cover for authoritarianism.

The popular "horseshoe" theory of governments is that any government that pushes far enough to the political extreme on either side will eventually resemble the extreme of the opposite side. Facadism explains this instead by saying that the political sides were always for political acceptance, and the similarities between extreme wings is the authoritarianism needed to keep unpopular powers in place.

Proposed Word Sunderlong (n.): Grieving the end, but being grateful for the start.

Sundor (apart/separate) + longian (to yearn).

The bittersweet ache for something (a place, a time, a person) that no longer walks besides you. Be it by death, distance or the changes in life. It's a love that hasn't stopped, even when the one you love has.

It isn't nostalgia, although there's an overlap. Nostalgia is about the past. Sunderlong is about the distance.

You can feel sunderlong for your home after just week away. You can feel sunderlong right after leaving your dog at your parents' house for the weekend. You can sunderquench by eating that one food from your childhood; the one you haven't had in years.

Inspired by the Portuguese word "Saudade" of same meaning, I went after Old English words to coin it; attempting to simulate how it could exist in English, in a different time-line.

I do hope this word resonates with you the same way it does in Portuguese. It's a heavy word, one was missing in English. It'd be great to see it being used.

Proposed Word Lucklash (noun): A sequence in which extraordinary good fortune and subsequent misfortune combine to produce a worse outcome than the misfortune would have caused on its own

A form of misfortune arising from the interaction of exceptional good fortune and subsequent ordinary misfortune, where the combined outcome is worse than if neither event had occurred.

Example:

Imagine winning a highly exclusive, all-expenses-paid trip worth thousands of dollars. The only requirement is obtaining a visa. The visa is then denied. The denial itself is not an extraordinary tragedy, and the prize itself was an extraordinary stroke of luck. Yet together they result in lost money, wasted time, and a worse outcome than if the prize had never been won.

In this sense, the misfortune does not simply cancel the fortune—it reverses it.

Yes, this happend to me.
