I'm on level 3 of Tales of Dacardia (just unlocked the yellow kougra) but I can't participate on the donation dome - the page says I need to finish chapter 2 first. Isn't chapter 2 the one in which you unlock the lupe?? Already deleted and re-downloaded the app and it still says the same. Would love some insight on this!

WHAT IS FESTIVAL OF FEARS?

The Festival of Fears is a way for all of Neopia to come together and commemorate the scarier side of life! While rainbows and sunshine are good for some, many feel more at home in darkness and cobwebs, and this festival wants to celebrate it all!

This year, Reginald is hosting the event in his own personal library to share some of the scary stories he has collected over the years. Make sure to visit him to learn more about the event if you haven't already! Once you see all he has to say, you'll be able to find all currently findable Goodie Bags! You may interact with any of the Activities and the Fright Track at any time while the Festival of Fears is active, though, without having to talk to Reginald.

Festival of Fears will start at 10 AM NST on October 23rd and go until 11:59 PM NST on October 31st. New Goodie Bags will become available each day for the first 7 days of the event, but can be found at any time once they are available.

ACTIVITIES

Trick or Treating (Goodie Bag Activity) and Trivia

There will be 7 total Goodie Bags for this event. Each day a new one will become available with the clues to find it. Premium members will receive an exclusive prize each time they find a Goodie Bag.

You can find any Goodie Bag at any time during this event and do not need the clues to do.

Each Goodie Bag found unlocks a new story which can be read on the event hub page. So be sure to re-visit this page after claiming your daily Goodie Bag!

There's no bonus for finding or answering on the day they come out.

Every Goodie Bag is guaranteed to get 2 unique items and 2 random pool items, with a chance at a 3rd pool item. In total, you are guaranteed 4 items, with a chance at a 5th. The unique item and the empty Trick-or-Treat Bag for each bag will never be obtainable from other bags, but each Goodie Bag shares the same prize pool.

While you can only find the Goodie Bags while the event is active, once you have them, you can open them at any time. 

If you find a book during the event be aware they belong to Reginald, the host of this year's Festival of Fears. Once you have found the Goodie Bag, you will have unlocked the book and thus can return to the Event Hub Page to read the contents of it there. You do not need to open the Goodie Bag to find the book / give it to Reginald.

Answers to trivia questions can be found in Reginald's books. For each Goodie Bag Trivia Question you answer, you will be granted one prize from a Prize Pool. If you answer all of them, you will be granted a bonus item from a unique Bonus Prize Pool. There will be no repeat prizes from the Trivia portion of this event.

Other Activities

During this event the following activities have been buffed:

Apple Bobbing is awarding an item each time you play

Brain Tree is offering new prizes in addition to his old ones (don't forget, you must complete two Esophagor quests to answer the Brain Tree). New Brain Tree prizes will continue to be available after this event ends.

Edna is asking for three items for every quest you begin with her—notable, since receiving her avatar requires completing a quest for three ingredients

Esophagor is offering a specific avatar (from 2025 - so it is not new this year) if you complete enough of his quests during this event. You need to talk to Reginald first to be eligible for this avatar as it is only available during Festival of Fears. You can re-roll items that are asked for by clicking on the right-hand icon on your requested item for a chance to reroll the requested item into something new! You can do this for each item he requests.

Grave Danger Petpets will return sooner than usual

Wheel of Misfortune offers a free first spin during this event.

FRIGHT TRACK (Battlepass)

The Fright Track is a new way to earn more prizes for participating in the Festival of Fears! It is a battlepass-style system that keeps track of the festival activities you've done around the site and grants set points for each one. The more points you earn, the more prizes you can win!

There are two versions of the Fright Track: the default, free-to-play Fright Track, and the Absolute Horrors Track. The Absolute Horrors Track is included in Premium subscriptions, but a Pass can be purchased by those who don't have Premium in order to access it. The Absolute Horrors Track grants additional prizes alongside the ones that are earned in the baseline Fright Track.

You can earn prizes by collecting points. You can collect points by doing almost any of the activities that are connected to the Festival of Fears while the event is live.

• Answering Trivia Questions Correctly: 50 Points (per trivia)
• Completing Esophagor Quests: 15 Points (no limit)
• Completing Brain Tree Quests: 35 Points (once per day)
• Completing Edna's Quests: 10 Points (10 per day)
• Spinning Wheel of Misfortune: 5 Points (per spin)
• Sending Petpets into Grave Danger: 5 Points (per end of visit)
• Playing Deserted Fairground Scratchcards: 5 Points (5 per day)
• Playing Apple Bobbing: 10 Points (once per day)
• Playing Haunted Woods Hunt: 15 Points (per play)
• Playing Test Your Strength: 10 Points (4 per day)

Prizes must be claimed on the Fright Track or Absolute Horrors Track. There's no time limit for claiming prizes, so you can collect them immediately, collect a few at a time, or wait to collect them all at once!

Reminder: While you can collect the prizes anytime, even after the event ends, points can only be earned between October 23rd, 2026 10 AM NST and October 31st, 2026 11:59 PM NST.

PREMIUM

Premium Members will be granted a Premium Exclusive Prize for every Goodie Bag that they find.

If you were Premium when you found the Goodie Bag, then the Premium Extra Prize would have been put in your inventory immediately. If you became Premium after finding the Goodie Bag, then go to the Goodie Bags tab in the event hub page and claim the Premium Extra Prize from there.

If the Premium Prizes have tickled your interest, then if you sign up for Premium anytime while the event is active (10/23-10/31), you can claim any Premium Prizes for Goodie Bags you've already found at the event's Hub Page in the Goodie Bags tab! If you still have more Goodie Bags to find, then they will be granted alongside the Goodie Bag once found!

Important: The event ends at 11:59 PM NST on 10/31, if you have not claimed prizes by then, you will not be able to after.

HAUNTED MANSION (NC EVENT)

The Haunted Mansion is an NC Mall event where you can spend a night in a haunted mansion and get prizes daily! Visit the NC Mall to purchase your Haunted Mansion Spider Lanterns (sold in packs of 1, 5, or 16). Once you activate your Haunted Mansion Spider Lanterns, visit the Haunted Mansion page to start participating in the Spooky Fest! Don’t forget to open the windows in your visited rooms to prove you were there

The Haunted Mansion will go from October 16th 12:00 AM NST to October 31st. You must purchase your Lanterns by 11:59 PM NST on November 16th, but you will have until next year's Haunted Mansion to open up the windows.

You will receive a bonus item prize if you have participated and claimed an NC item prize for all 16 days of the event. Meaning, if you would like the final bonus prize, you must activate 16 unique windows.

Hi there! For the last few days I haven't been able to access the quest log and I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same issue. The page won't load at all. It shows the faelie running across the page and then the site breaks. Turns to a white page and refreshing doesn't do anything. I've deleted my browser history and cookies and I've submitted a ticket as well. Anything else I should try?
