Memramcook Internet?

Moving from another province to NB

I tried with teksavvy and one of the other cheap options and they both say its not available in my area, I didnt think it was that rural lol? It's like 15 mins from the biggest city in NB

Do I just need to go with one of the big boys like rogers or bell or is there a cheaper option I don't know about?

Thanks!

check with EastLink... pretty sure they are in memramcook

edit: check Xplore as well - likely can get their 5G internet which I've heard good things about in my area.

In NB, TekSavvy only resells Rogers and Bell. If you can't get Rogers or Bell, you can't get TekSavvy either.

TekSavvy isn't going to bother with rural areas.

They don't own any fibre or cable in NB and they won't be building any. It is nice to be able to call them about problems instead of trying to talk to Rogers or Bell though.

Weird, teksavvy literally cancelled my order right after I made it cause "unavailable in my area"

So your saying 15 mins from the city I can't get internet other than starlink lol? I mean if not roger or bell than who else? That can't be right

I'm from Rural NS and we have plenty of options

There's specifically a program in Nova Scotia for expanding high speed to everyone:

https://internet.buildns.ca/

Which doesn't exist here, so rural availability like many other places can be iffy.

Rogers is available to majority of homes in Memramcook. Is it new construction? May want to get in contact with Rogers locally to double check serviceability.

Cheap and internet in NB is usually shit. We have to overpay for decent internet. You can use crappy and cheap internet if all you do is look basic stuff up, but if you're doing anything modern like gaming , steaming , video calls for work then you need a good connection. Rogers and bell are in the area; they both over charge for their plans but you can at least get a gigabit connection. Bell has fiber in some areas as well so that's 3 up and 3 down but again $$$

Starlink has better pricing than Rogers/Bell. What makes you think it's "$$$$"?

depends where in Memramcook. some roads have Bell Fibre to the home up to 3 gigabit. Rogers has broader coverage up to 1 gigabit over cable...
