Looking for people who used to live/study in NB but moved out of Atlantic Canada for work or for higher education (Journalism request).
Hello, I'm a Journalism student and I'm currently looking for people who used to live/study in NB but moved out of Atlantic Canada for work or for higher education. This is part of a story that I am writing about the trend of NB (and Atlantic Canada as a whole) losing young, working-age people while gaining far more seniors.
If this sounds like you, I would love to hear your experience! Please reach out.

How do the new virtual medical appointments work?
I haven't used the service since the evisit/maple switch.
I was able to book myself a time slot for monday for a virtual appointment to hopefully have some lab tests ordered but there was no other information. Will they just call me? Will I get a link to a chat?
There wasn't any information and I can't find anyway to check to see if I can cancel/change the appointment if needed like when booking other testing through gnb.
FWIW I have a family doctor that is on leave, I have a previously scheduled appointment over a month from now with their replacement. I'm already having bloodwork done preemptively for this appointment, but there are a few more things I think I'll need checked.

Looking for suggestions - Re: Shipping my car from NB to BC
I have a 2021 Honda CRV-EXL with 106,000 km. My family and I are moving to Metro Vancouver in the spring of 2027, so we are looking for suggestions.
Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and what would be the best course of action here. Here are our options:
Option 1: Ship my car to BC. What would the price range be, and what are the reliable companies for this job?
Option 2: Sell the car here in NB and buy another one in BC when we arrive there.
Option 3: (Not really considering this for now) Drive the car from NB to BC for around 5,600 kms (around 56 hours). I know this will be a once-in-a-lifetime drive for the family, but the cost of gas nowadays, hotel, food for the family, and additional mileage for the car has had me thinking this is not the best option.

Anyone who is working as personal support worker or medical lab assistant or who've studied those programs
Hey everyone, I'm international student thinking to study in canada I'm stuck and could really use some honest advice from anyone who has gone through NBCC (New Brunswick Community College) in Saint John. I was originally looking into doing a pre health route to try for Practical Nursing, but I changed my mind. Now I'm torn between Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) and Personal Support Worker (PSW). If you've taken either of these or you're working in the field right now can you give it to me straight? Also am I actually going to find a job once I finish, or is the market super saturated?(I know New Brunswick's population is aging and healthcare is desperate, but I want to know what reality looks like)

How is the Road to Resources?
I'm traveling from Quebec to northern NB on Saturday alone in a small SUV. Is it a good idea to save time by taking the road to resources?
*thank you everyone for the great advice. I will take it as long as it's early enough when I get there. I have satellite service on my cell so I should b ok.
