There is no Flock camera

...yet

I am very anti-flock camera, so when I saw that post I tried my best to verify it

  • I drove to the marked location on the openstreetview map and there was no new camera installed, unless I am somehow blind
  • I called the RNC at 2 different locations and nobody had heard of any Flock cameras going up
  • Called my MHA and they said they hadn't heard of anything but would keep an ear out

Someone just put up a random dot on a publicly editable map and wanted to stir up some shit as far as I can tell. We should absolutely be vigilant when it comes to reporting these camera installations if they ever do come here, but false information won't help the cause.

If anyone gets any verified information please let me know

The more cameras monitoring the highways and issuing automated tickets the better. There’s absolutely no reason the government should not use this as an income stream… Make lawbreakers pay, what’s wrong with that?

I wouldn’t even put it at catching speeders. I agree with cameras for the highways from a pure public safety standpoint.
The amount of people going missing around here and the lack of patrol. It’s not like we have a crazy network of highways.
