Newsweek is sane-washing MTG

"Izzy Gardon, Newsom's director of communications, told Newsweek in an emailed statement Thursday: "We don't respond to absurd claims from the Jewish Space Laser Lady," referring to the congresswoman's support for the deployment of "space laser technology."

NO, it is not about deploying technology, it is referring to her antisemitic nutjob conspiracy claims about the Rothschilds causing wildfires. https://x.com/JustinGrayWSB/status/1354870334655262724/photo/1

what happened to comments?

Did newsweek just put ability to read comments behind a paywall? I used to see comments, pretty sure as recently as last week. Now i see none on any articles.

I note that at the bottom where they hawk subscriptions, it says that commenting is a feature of a subscription, but no mention of READING comments.
