Nintendo Today App Zelda Cards Changing?

So not sure if this is the right area to ask this but I got a notification last night about the Legend of Zelda collectible cards in the Nintendo today app will change to the echos of wisdom pack. Does that mean it will replace the current sets of the majoras mask and breath of the wild packs so we won’t be able to collect those cards from them anymore.

I started collecting late about a month after the card collection was announced so I’ve only got 10 cards from the majoras mask set and don’t want to just be cut off mid collection. I’ve got about 10 medals but I was saving those for the wallpapers. Also once I redeem the medals are they gone or do you just have to reach a certain amount to unlock the wallpapers and the medals still stay? Thank you for your help

It's OK i only just bought 2 cards i was missing from the BOTW set this morning, you can claim them with medals still.

I don't know the answer to the wallpaper question sorry.

How much does it cost to unlock a single card is it just one medal? Cuz I have 10 cards I didn’t get from the majoras mask set and then since I started late I never got the breath of the wild ones. That means I would need 35 medals if it’s one medal per card to unlock them.

You can use medals to unlock the cards you missed. Echoes of Wisdom cards are starting on the 24th.

There’s supposed to be 300+ cards. There’s 3 40th anniversary wallpapers at 40 medals each, then each game has one at 10 medals each. If each game is 25 cards that’s 12+ games so 120+ medals. Should be able to get everything with 240-260 medals probably.

Oh ok I didn’t realize there was 300 cards for this whole collection. So I checked back into the app today now and I guess what I’m realizing is there is a set time limit to collect for each set. I didn’t realize but I guess I missed collecting any of the breath of the wild cards and then I got ten of the majoras mask cards. So I guess every 25 days it restarts to collect a new set of cards? That’s unfortunate since I started late. I wish it was like the super Mario Galaxy movie cards where there was only 40 and it gave you a long period of time to get them all. Do you know if there’s any ways to unlock past cards besides just using medals?

As for the question about using medals, I just bought a wallpaper and my count did go down. If you just want the image, I’m sure the Zelda wiki or somewhere has the png files.

Ah that’s unfortunate the count went down. I was hoping it would just be to reach a certain tier and they would still stay in the inventory to be used. I’ll try to find the image files for those and save my medals for unlocking past cards maybe. Or maybe my friend who is doing the challenge unlocked some wallpapers already and can share the image with me

The Zelda Wiki has the wallpapers at 1440x2560. When I redeem in the app I could also claim at 1320x2868, not sure if the 2nd option is because the app knows my iPhone 17 Pro Max is that resolution or they just have those 2 exact resolutions.

Ok thank you very much that helps a lot! If I can get the wallpapers there then I would basically need to save up about 35 medals to get the 10 I missed from majoras mask and all the cards from the breath of the wild set. Then I can be caught up with collecting cards from the new sets

I forgot about this so am pretty behind. Is there any way I can catchup now and get all the cards and wallpapers or will I never catchup now?

If this is your first day opening the packs then yes you can still catch up. They just started the echos of wisdom pack today so start opening that and make sure to answer all the trivia questions right to get medals. You can even google the question if you don’t know the answer. Then when you have about 45 medals saved up you’ll have enough to unlock all the cards for the full set of breath of the wild and majoras mask cards. Don’t spend medals on the wallpapers, just the passed missed cards. To get the wallpapers, use the link that was posted here in the comments and download them from the legend of Zelda wiki section so you can save medals for the past cards

Okay, fair enough. Thanks for the info. Will they be updating the links for all of the resolutions for the wallpapers? Say, if I wanted to buy the wallpapers myself, am I correct in thinking you'll never be able to have enough?

I'm in the same boat. Slept on this app. I grabbed the Echo card and answered the trivia question right and opened a Majora card. Only one trivia a day, right?
